What did you do to your XJ today

He cut the stinger off.

I built a sweet bumper out of some c channel i got for free from a buddy and cut my fenders

Pics or it didn't happen. I personally prefer using a chunk of rail for my bumpers. Very solid. My neighbor across the street built an awesome Winthrop bumper by modifying a semi truck bumper.

On Friday night I started with some 2 x 4 .188 tube and some scrap and built some sliders. Cost was about $100, finished it up Saturday night. I made & welded up new pinch seams and attached them to the factory pinch seams. So should be super strong.

Then because I could, I just went out on a stump & flexed it!! Good weekend.

Painted my bumper finally! It was NOT a good time to get this 80 pound bumper hanging by myself.. but I am resourceful!

Looks like AJ's prerunner bumper

AJ's pre-rok! very happy with the service from them!

Sweet, a mid height prerok is going on the wish list!
Thanks

So I got all my axle stuff mostly figured out but Im not sure about the pinion angel so 10* is what my dead 8.25 has and Im not sure what my 35 has because Its still installed and has a Shim like 6* or 8* what Ive been reading is I should shoot for around 11* with using a stock drive shaft NO SYE (Im PO and cant afford) so I figured 10* was good but Im hoping somebody here could help.

Have some pretty bad growling noise from what sounds like the rear. I pulled my axles so I can do axle bearings since there was some play. However I suspect pinion or carrier bearings as my problem. Rotating the assembly is quiet but it sure acts like its my problem. Dunno... It's there most of the time and gets louder with acceleration or load and quieter on deceleration.
