What did you do to your XJ today

We drilled a hole in the receiver then welded a nut onto it. Then we threaded a bolt in as a pinch bolt for the tire carrier. I didn't like this plan, I wanted to weld s nut inside the tube for the tire carrier to pull down on the tube. But it seems pretty tight the way it is. The way it's built everything is tight. The only thing I'm concerned with at the moment is the flex my bumper is getting. Its fine driving down the road. No movement I don't even know it's there, with they exception of not seeing out the back window. But, will see how much my bumper flexes on the trails.

iv been talking about doing the same thing... im just so lazy...

You gave me the pic to design it from. Nick just get some friends together to BS that's what we did. And two hour job flew by and took 9 hours or soo. We focused more on the conversation that building. Truthfully I think I did 10% of the work, the other two guys did everything else. :gee:

Credit goes to where credit is due.....
Dave did all the welding, (and REALLY did a good job I might add) I just helped with the engineering side of things, and did some cutting and drilling.
(ok...well....I also did my fair share of the BSing to aid in all the distraction from actually getting work done LOL)

Just think what would have happened if started drinking?

But I heard Danica Patrick was on the pole!!:gee:
