What did you do to your XJ today

Huh ? :eyes:

Torqued the suspension, topped off fluids, respooled winch, filled OBA oil, aired up the tires, etc.

Bunch of random crap I refer to as race prep because it makes me feel better about my junk.

He is gonna start running sweep with Jason.

Also, did you fix that issue with the rear shackles?

Big negative on the first one, and kinda sorta on the second. I clearanced the rear gusset where it had some contact, but I think there's still some shackle/spring issues. I guess I'll find out if it worked on the next trip.

Cleaned all the caked on oil on my HP 44. The truck this front axle came out of must have been a real pig. It was caked with 1" thick oil over the complete pumkin what a mess. Anyone know where theres a car wash with engine degreaser in the Beaverton area.

Thanks Jason

installed 97+ mirrors on my 89

Started my d 30 Aussie locker install, got the carrier out and the carrier bearings were shot so I'm replacing those tonight or tomorrow along with inner and outer seals and u joints then putting it back together

I didn't get anything done, but I got my new CSF radiator from DPG in the mail. Now as soon as I find some time I'll get that and my new steering from JCR thrown on the Jeep.

Anybody else ever notice that a lot of auto parts companies just go by three initials? CSF, DPG, JCR, JKS, PSC And those are just the ones I can think of right now from my XJ.

Pretty sure the one across from Southridge High has it

I think that i would have immobilized my jeep not over that massive puddle :gee:

No that's the way you stay cooled off while working on it. You think that puddle is something should see the lake in the front of the parking lot here lol. It's all good that really is just the parts rig I picked up and after I manage to get the windshield out (In one piece :helpme:) Then it will be on it's way to the scrap yard. Think I will take the fenders and the rear hatch off as well.

Got a present from the UPS man for my Jeep

my guess is it was big, long and wrapped:roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

So I haven’t got to work on the XJ in a while but I have had the fortune to work on my wife’s 2000 Ford Focus. I have spent 12 hours trying to get the transmission out so I could replace the clutch. Saturday night we were headed back from V-day dinner and poof I couldn't shift any more. So I had to speed shift all the way home with out a clutch. So I have been trying to get the tranny out and after 12 hours I found out that it was this that was the problem.

The stupid hose that connects the clutch master cylinder to the slave cylinder. The stupid part is that I checked the fluid and thought that it would be low if the hose went bad. Well I was wrong the reason why it wasn't out of fluid was because the breaks and the clutch use the same reservoir. That whole thing just makes me mad that I have spent all this time to find out it's a $25 hose. I want to set the freaking car on :flame: and roll it into the ford dielership. Okay I'm done being :rattle: a well I will get it back together tomorrow so I can get to work on my steering upgrades. Happy wheeling!
