What did you do to your XJ today

got board, found myself on a rti ramp. i know its not a jeep but whatever. index 300 :)

put a new cb in, still had 3+ swr on ch 1 and 40. went from a 3' to 4' tunable tip antenna, and that fixed the swr readings.....until i mounted the cb back behind the center console, then the readings went haywire again. guess ill have to find a new mounting location

Finally installed the rear driveline. Started it for the first time since October...felt good to drive it again. Swapped out the rear leafs for some newer ones.

I know it's not an XJ but it is a Jeep!

Got the front axle pulled from my YJ in preparation for the new one and SOA. Also got the shackles cut down since I won't need that 1 1/4 lift from them when I get done.

On my way home from work yesterday in heavy rain, my Jeep started sputtering then stalled. I coasted around a corner and parked it. Called a tow truck and got it home.

I took the day off work to change what I thought was the fuel pump. Last night I bought a pump, and fuel filter. but when I went out today and tested it it fired right up and ran without a problem. I played with the ballast resister and that didn't seem like the problem. Also when I turn the key on I can here the pump engage. So I just put in a new fuel filter and drove around a bit. No problems. I'm hoping that it was just the filter. I guess we'll see tomorrow when I go back to work.

Got the rear axle removed form project Cherokee slayer. Also ran into some money so I ordered new spicer ball joints,SYE kit and some misc. items from the jeep guy.

I also put a new mass airflow sensor in the DD. Runs like a dream! (if your dream is a 2000 chevy prizm)
