What did you do to your XJ today

Working on my DS and xfer case today, Fiance stole the camera and went wedding shopping with her mom/sister. It's just me and the tools and the internet today.

found out my tie rod is bent.
can't see it with that skid plate on, but i removed it to put the durango box on last nite.

..i don't need to get crazy with my steering set up.
the stock angles and knuckle configuration is fine, so i think ill go the currie route.
i'll like knowing all the components are new - but there goes more of that gear money!
(as opposed to getting a ZJ v8 rod)

I must be getting paid hourly, Ive spend all day working on the jeep and got nothing done.

I FINALLY finished all the paint work on mine today. Touched up the cage, then touched up the jeep from touching up the cage, then touched up the cage from touching up the jeep, then... then undercoated the frame cage tie ins and stiffiners.

Got one solid coat of Herculiner down on the rear deck and under the rear seat.

was gonna do the gate too, but decided ill do a second coat on the bed instead, and then just paint the gate.

I dinked around putting new ujoints in my alloy shafts this morning, using full circle clips and 760 Spicer joints. OX gets the big thumbs down for their lack of availability on replacement parts. Fawk 'em.

Next up is reworking the Antirock endlinks and freshening up the draglink/tierod/trackbar. In need of some frame repair and steering box reinforcement, too. Front bumper will probably come off for that whole ordeal.

I got a new clip for the brake pedal from the stealership. $5 for $.02 metal clip, but if will keep the pedal attached to the push rod so meh. :rof:

Got my drive shaft finished.

New precision 280 u-joints
New 1310 CV flange
Got all the mud out of slip section.
