What are you doing to your rig - the continuing saga

Now all you need to get to go with that is a tinfoil hat, :eyes:

So with a heck of a lot of help from Solar finally managed to get my lift on my jeep. Sadly though I found some pretty bad rust under the molding on the lower quarter panels. Does anyone have any ideas about how to fix it for cheap. Im hoping to retain the stock lines but wouldnt mind an " armored" look.

I did some Pretso-Chango! stuff on the '90 today.

It was a day of discovery.

I found out that Carquest filters are made by Wix; F-U NAPA Gold!

Got parts on order, relocating rear lower shock mounts and instaling a JKS Upper crossover shock Shock mounts, Have Trusses 8.25 and Dana 30 , Getiing Lockers and 488 front and rear. hopefully get it all installed 1st week of Apil. My buget build is getting a little pricy at this point. Just tired of getting hung up on easy stuff . Not looking to do any extreme wheeling just want to roll without having to get out and stack rocks or have to bump every obstacle .

Installed some JKS disco's I picked up off Troy... I have been running without swaybars or a stabilizer for almost a year. Kinda got used to it!

Here is the fun stuff though... Jeep before this weekend...

And after...!

Picked up a set of old style MT/R's, and a set of 8" TJ Canyons and threw them on with some 1.25" spacers. Sitting at a pretty nice level now! Probably need to do a little more bumpstop in the front, but I'm not too worried.

Next steps; sliders, winch, then selectable locker in the front and limited slip in the rear!

I can't, and I'm 25... inherited a bad back and haven't improved it any.

Oh well, used to it now.

Here's how she is sitting right now:

I'm happy with the OME just need a bit of clearance so I got some HDOR relocation brackets and am thinking of a .75" spacer up front. Have an 8.8 and 231 with SYE in the garage ready to go and I also have a set of 4.10 gears for the front. I ordered some Ironman fab control arms for it last week so I'm hoping those will be in soon. Been repainting the armor and trim and I think I'm gonna do up the the body line with Herculiner or raptor liner. Wish I could figure out my damn Subaru so I can get it down to Brian at HDOR for a cage.

dad- it looks like he is unhooked on the driver side but I agree he should fully unhook.

Yes, I disco'd one side because i was out of bungee cords and big zipties. I need to figure out a good solution for keeping my sway bar up. It actually limited my flex a bit too, its getting wheeled this weekend and probably not wheeled until July so thats on the list of things to fix.

Here is a pic of fully disconnected:

I know on my jeep We held the disconects as high and tight as we could and then marked a spot to drill a hole then we ran a screw with an eye hole through it and then we just use bunge cords to go to that. really easy and clean looking.
