Yes the BCM was fubar'd. I found a replacement for $30 at a yard. It actually added several new features the the vehicle and got rid of the fuel gauge problem.

Or are you talking about the suspension problem you guys diagnosed about the egged out holes holding the lower control arms? On those I bought some grade 8 fender washers, honed the inside just to clear the bolts, then welded them to the frame. Presto, no more problems. I still need to get down there and get it aligned, but time, money, and life have conspired against me.

Got together with Dutch yesterday and converted my knuckles to a double-shear mount for the heims. The holes I drilled in the knuckles the first time had more slop than I wanted, so now it doesn't matter.

The control arms I bought from zak had a little bit of play in the joints. New races fixed that

I work at an alignment shop in loveland. Loveland Bear Alingment. We have a very good rep and can work on custom steering custom wheels anything that has adjustment we can do. I know its a long hual but it would be worth it. We have customers in Denver that come up all the time.

Subarus have one camber bolt on top and one regular bolt on the bottom that has to be put in a certain way with the washers on a certain direction. And if they grind the lobe off they do not know what they are doing.

How many things can go wrong when swapping rear springs, let me count the ways.. Broken loose weld nut on front bushing - check. Broken loose weld nut on upper shackle - check. Bolt seized into bushing - check and check. Stripped bolts on bumper when removing to fix said broken loose weld nut - check. Remind me how much fun Jeeps are again?

well it looks like i may need some new steering on the YJ. The F***tard that put the teraflex kit on put the tie rod on the top of the knuckles so now if i flex it our the TRE at the pitman arm hits the tierod and limits my flex ALOT.

the only one of those issues that is a problem on MJs is the bumper weldnuts, and the end of the frame rail is wide open, so I just chiseled them out and tacked some "handles" to a few 3/8 grade8 nuts

Leaf bolts came right out, and they go straight through on an MJ so even the one that did seize to the bushing, I got out in a few minutes with a 3lb sledge and a big drift punch.

Shock mounts have no weldnuts involved.

MJs > XJs in almost every way!

That's cuz YJ's are just so awesome with their low mounted steering boxes........ :moon:

not a problem. I dont know about a deal lol, but Im trying to work with the boss to give deals to people that come from and Denver. But tell her to come in and well look at her truck.

We always give free estimates and check parts for parts for free, and will take out in the shop to show you whats going on. :clap:
