Well i still cant figure out whats wrong with mine (after the motor swap) so now im lookin' for a stocker to swap all my parts to!

Yesterday I realized that my summer break is quickly coming to an end and that I need to get the jeep into good running condition before school takes over. Well the jeep has always ran fine, there have just been a couple things that need fixing in the last month.

First was to fix my winch. I originally thought I fried the solenoid, but after picking the brains of some electricians at 4wp I made a new ground for the solenoid and viola! It worked and i was able to spool in the 30 feet of synthetic cable i had wrapped around my front bumper from over a month ago!

Next was the stock cross member and bent skidplate that hung way down.
A thread popped up in the modified section about cross member ideas, and I really liked what foxwar71 did, so I pretty much copied his design with a bit of tweaking too make it better for me.

I went to K&K and bought the material yesterday, and then today after work I bought a portable bandsaw and some blades. It is a great buy so far, makes cutting cleaner and faster than a grinder, chopsaw, or sawzall.

And then I got a start on my crossmember.

My only question is how do I temporarily move the hard lines that run on the inside of the frame so I can weld these on?

Once I get this done, I am going to start on the skid plate which is going to consist of another cross member further back, some 1/8th plate, and some UMHW plastic.:guitar:

And then I am going to work on rear 1/4 panel guards, I bought some from Chad, but they fit to loose because I don't have bushwackers so I gotta make some new ones. Anyone with bushwackers want a really good deal on some 1/4 panel guards? :peace:
