its amazing how the smallest things keep rigs parked for months...
glad to hear that was all, and its driving again!
No..... it was one small thing that couldn't be figured out, then another small thing that couldn't be figured out, then another..... and so on and so on..... compounded by the fact that '97's are the worst year XJ ever made...... compounded by the fact that certain '97 parts (TCU's specifically) are hard to come by...... compounded by the fact that the computers that comprise the buss system can only be for a '97 which means a '98 gauge cluster will send the ECU into a tail spin...... and so on and so on.......:banghead:
Once I thought I had it all figured out and started driving it again, she decided a month later that she liked to randomly stop running. Sometimes she'd start again with a quick flip into neutral and turn the key..... othertimes she'd cough, sputter, belch, puke and fart and need a 20 min. nap before she'd start again. When all that happened 8 times in a 4 mile drive...... she got parked........ and only then did she provide me with 3 engine codes to try to work with..... finally finding a low-volt issue with an aftermarket "performance" coil.......

But I digress......

nice. Way to go both of you! I want to wheel onemore time with you before the season is over. When is keifer coming over to finish the compensator?
We'll see. I'm gonna have to put lots of trouble-free drive time in before I risk taking her off road again.
I'm sure Kiefer is more than willing to come help with the Compensator...... I just gotta get some parts bought....... lots of expensive parts......
