What are you doing to your rig - the continuing saga

I still have the Champion Aluminminminminum radiator that I put in a little over a year ago...and it's leaking. I've tried using a 2 part epoxy as a temp fix but it only slowed the leaks.

I've got to replace it with a Novak radiator, but at just under $700 (shipped) it's going to have to wait.

Hopefully A/C season starts a bit sooner and I can get back on my feet and get the damn thing.

I've looked a bunch of other options including a custom dual pass radiator from Ron Davis (www.rondavisradiators.com/). They get just under $1k for it.

I know this guy down in your area thats about to get some scrilla from me in exchange for a steering setup. If you want I can let you know what alley we're meeting in and you can mug him afterwards. :D

Cuz it would cost more than it's worth to cur the ends off, TIG the holes, reweld the ends back on....and then hope it doesn't continue to or develop another leak.

I thought the same thing, and was thinking a C6 would hold up better behind his power plant, but I think he's referring to explosives. :explosion:anon:

No I was Dicking off in the dawdge and spent some time sliding it around and driving over rocks. They got mad at me and took it out on XJBOY's truck lol


But I am looking at axle parts fwiw, deciding what to go with

Haha, after looking back at the posting I think you're right. Stupid Ford drivetrain parts are on my mind as I've been researching putting the Bronco's drivetrain in my YJ.

You want a unit-body converted YJ :D

You going to just going to build a buggy around a set of axles or something?
 
Lol your why?-j would be cool. :D

I just know if i have a rig that's stock ill mess it all up before its where i want it. So imma build axles and buy joints and tube etc. Then find a vehicle to slap em in. Luckily ill be able to look for rig with blown axles andor other issues cuz it won't be dd and i can tow it.
