We're buying a house!

From experience DO ALL YOUR PAINTING BEFORE YOU MOVE IN... even if you have to sleep in the garage for a week or two. It is such a PIA moving furniture around as you do a room, doubles the time.. Oh, that includes the garage floor painting too. Owning a house on your own property is great.

Yeah, we were debating about that. We have time to do it, so I think we will. There isn't much that needs painting though.
Thanks,
Billy

Here's the picture that was on the MLS by the way...

Congrats!
Nice House.

Looking at the steep driveway, you might wanna think about mounting a winch inside your new garage for pulling in your project's.

Oh, and just so you know what you're getting into :laugh3:... we have a couch, loveseat, chair, small kitchen table, 2 mattress/boxspring sets, a 32" tv, a desk, and a few other little things. No stairs and we're going from Citrus Heights (Antelope and Sunrise) to Sacramento (HWY 50 @ Bradshaw). I can get a flatbed trailer and I'm working on a pickup to pull it.
Thanks!
Billy

what kinda prices are houses there? i get a little over $16 an hour and I can't afford a house here in eureka. crack shacks are going for nearly 200k! i like california, but i dont think i will be able to buy a house here without a change in career...i guess being single is the real limiting factor.

Yeah, prices are insane. We bought ours for $345k!... I couldn't ever have done it without my wife's income.
