Well shoot, guess who's back

I wish, he sold it before I could get back from training and work out a deal. Nope, I got the 87 parts rig that was in the back yard.

Teaser shots of it before it was converted into a hover jeep.

It looks basically the same currently minus the roof rack, axles, and with more dirt/bird poop on it.

Santa showed up today

All unwrapped

Rusty's 4.5" long travel kit with their competition 4-link, 3.5" leafs, and 1.5" shackles replacing the y-link and 4.5" leafs. I also upgraded to their next higher shocks and got an Advanced Adapters SYE.

Kinda surprised for the cost of the 4 link stuff you didn't build your own.

Or are you like me these days, and would just rather buy it than fab it

The full set up from Rusty's wasn't bad at all, only an extra 100$ or so to upgrade to that over just the y-link not counting the shocks. I'm really not trying to go too crazy with this at all. Just get it together and start using it.

Yeah right, I pay alimony and child support plus split all costs on clothes/school/sports. My son plays hockey in the winter and football in the summer. You know, the cheap sports.

I traded the 8.8 Simple swap kit to a buddy who is putting an 8.8 Explorer axle in his 91 Ranger. He is ordering me a pair of Solid diff covers for my D30 and 8.8 Rear. I then ordered the 2" stretch u-bolt eliminators from Ruff Stuff.

Good to see you posting again, dude! I haven't been around here much either the past couple years...just pop in from time to time. Definitely itchin' to play with Jeeps again.....

Looking forward to your build

Not very much these days, it's been sitting for awhile. Bought some quads last summer so the wife and kid could ride too, so we've been riding the snot out of those.

We should meet up for a beer/burger soon...shoot the ol' chit for a bit!

Yeah dude, just hit me up. I live farther up north now but still work in Firestone and can grab a beer after work.

Sounds good man. I'm living up north of Johnstown now, but still work down by your work, so that'll make it easy peezy.
