Who's coming that will have a portable camp table that we could use for the dinner Tuesday evening at Slickrock Campground?

We'll be in an open area. I know most of us carry camp chairs, which we can bring to the eating area, but we'll also need tables for serving and some for sitting to eat.

If there will be enough available, we won't have to rent any.

I have 2 2x3 folding tables I can bring... I can also bring a couple of card tables...

goat, you don't think the benches worked well last year? Or are you looking for something more "put together"?

do you think the campground will let us get something set-up with what they used for the awards dinner?

oh, you know the cookout is covered, but me and chewy learned a huge lesson........

DON'T REPLY ON THE CAMPGROUND BBQ PITS!

don't worry goat, "cooktops" are not going to be an issue....

we'll be sure to get a REAL BBQ, even if it means I build one from a FRESH steel 55 gallon drum with a nice 3/8" wire grid on top.......

let's say I have enough time to build one......(if I don't we'll use webers).......would naxja be willing to take it home with them?

Yeah, the picnic tables will help, but I think we'll need more. It would be easier to set up a few tables than carry a bunch of those picnic tables over to the basketball court area. a couple of nice tables to serve from, then whatever we need for people to sit at. Everyone won't need to sit at a table, we'll mostly depend on people to bring their own camp chairs.

You guys should talk to Mil to coordinate any cooking equipment, he's doing the dinner on Friday evening.

We can use that central eating area if we want, we have it reserved for the whole week. But, we had discussed already that it might be nice to keep it out in the open like the last couple of years. Also, I have no idea yet how many to expect, and we might be too large a group to fit in that area. Any thoughts on this? It's available if we want to use it.

I fwe're doing the BBQ thang like we did last year, where people eat and give in a donation, out in the open is great, but if we're having the BBQ "pre-paid" we may want to have it in the seating area to deter free-loaders......this event is gonna be a hellova lot mo' bigga'.

We're pre-selling tickets with pre-registrations, but we'll still sell tickets and collect at the front of the line. The serving will need to be set up so someone is at the front of the serving table collecting as people pass. No honor system donations like last year. It can work either out in the open or in the central eating area, depending on how many people we anticipate having.

Any SoCal folks near me that can carry mine? I looked at the table and realized that there is no chance that I can navigate it into the camping trailer (it's 3' by 8' or so) and I don't like the idea of strapping it to the roof of my XJ...

If you guy's are still needing any let me know. I can maybe sneak a 4X8 onto the trailer under the Jeep.

I'm not sure what the old people have anymore, but I'm sure there is something. They keep them around for yard seles. :)

Shoot me a PM or e-mail. I've actually started to try and get my junk ready. Kristen is still saying I must be sick, it's still too early.

Tables

Just posted on the SOCAL Chapter that I have 3 - 4 folding tables that can be taken by someone. I believe they are 3x8. I am not sure if I will make the event, due to family coming into town in October and our clubs Fright Nite event planning, so if someone wants to take them there we can make arrangements to transfer them.
