Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Did some work on D's jungle Friday afternoon. Saturday went to Rock Hill to get a parts jeep. Well part of a parts jeep.

Icon rims are for sale.

Then to Legal Remedy Brewing for Lunch then back to my shop. Had the engine and transmission out by 6 and went home for a shower.

D and I headed back to her house. Sunday we worked on her yard again. Then to lunch and back to shop to pull the tires and axle from the jeep. Rear is for sale too. Needs brakes...... ;)

Doing a little ATV maintenance. Just picked this up and going though the front end. Figured I'd adjust the brakes. Ended up replacing the ball joints, tie rod ends, wheel bearings and all the brakes. Just say not to mud.

Ordered the rebuild kit for my RE LCAs. I sure hope, after all these new joints and control arms and suspension work that this Jeep drives like a...ummm...better Jeep?

I went and got this turd. The inside is ruined beyond repair due to being underwater for a few days but I hope to salvage the drivetrain this winter. The 231 will go to my MJ/XJ project (accidentally ruined the existing one in it by making a speed hole), the AW4 will go back in the spare parts stock, the engine will be inspected, flushed and top end rebuilt and the D30 will go into my 2WD MJ to start its conversion. The real magic for me was the intact header panel, smoker vents and taillights. The chrome bumpers and side mirrors are extra goodies I'll stash for upcoming Jeeps.

I have an entire 96 interior for sale.....just saying...

Hope it has 4.10s or that 6.0 will be hating life.

Of course, you're comparing to an Escalade, so it will probably be just fine....

Nope. That's the only downfall. 3.73 in the 1500HD.

I'm sure it'll do just fine as my previous 1500 with the 3.73, 5.3 and the same size tire towed alright. Sure, I'd love 4.10's but not right now. Maybe I'll upgrade in the future.

Apparently it's been awhile since I've been over to that part of town. I don't recall a Eurofix on the corner of White Bridge and West End. I thought there was a golf store there.

Ugh, that was a good deal. Too bad it was so far away or it would have already been at my house. (Assuming that's the same Jeep that I'm thinking of.)

350. Needs a charge on the battery and a solid cleaning but seems to be ready to go.

I don't know exactly how long Eurofix has been there but its been at least a few years.

Edit: 2014-2015 was the change over.

That's where I'm at too. Even though the Yukon XL is a 2500, with the 6.0 I get the semi-float 14B and 3.73s instead of full-float and 4.10s. With the camper on I need everything I can get out of it, hence why I stuck with 245s when I got tires.

Yeah, we'll see how it does. I'll blow it up before I put 245's back on it. lol

I'm looking to buy a decent plot of land (4+ acres) somewhere in the Huntsville vicinity since my new job is on Redstone, and Huntsville has lots of other engineering positions if I don't keep this job. The favorite properties I've seen so far are on Rock Spring Rd in Owens Crossroad, anyone on here familiar with the area? Good place to live for a single guy who hates the city but wants to be close enough to work there? Looking for any advice and opinions

Shoot a PM to highspeed. He lives in Owens Crossroad.
