Tim was at the first NAXJA event, Winterfwst, and I was at the second, the Rides of March. AZ Rockfest and SoCal are next.

Which SEC member will be at them???
Sounds like it's Andy's turn! He's got the MoHo and could easily make it into a family trip across the country.

Went to the workday at uwharrie yesterday and presented Friends of Uwharrie with a $600 check on behalf of the SEC and National to be used towards supplies. Also spent 8-9 hours shoveling rock onto the trails to help with erosion. More pictures and a write up to come as soon as I get all the pictures from others.

Finally undertook the task of installing four bolts in my control arm drop brackets. They were the ones that go where the original caster shims went. Unfortunately my father in law made everything so precise that it was a bugger to get them in. Laying on my back wearing glasses sucked since I really need bifocals. I little duct tape and a LED light helped get that job done.

Another task done. Now I'm going to drive the '88 a bit to keep it in running shape. Getting ready for Harlan!

This work weekend was a huge success. I rolled with TJC and we put up over 300 feet of guard rail on Dickie Bell, Wolfs Den, and the service road headed towards Falls Dam. I have some group shots from the morning meeting at the campground I'll post up later today to show just how large this event was. Saturday alone brought in over $25K for Uwharrie just in volunteer man hours. That puts the number of people around 180 that showed up. That's huge! Big thanks to everyone that showed up and did their part.

Mind if I take some of those pictures for the write up?

I placed my first order with Rusty's Off Road. I redeemed a gift certificate I won at the 2015 Crawl.

Thanks for the pictures and thanks for working out there. Hope you consider going red, and maybe next time we can donate $630 instead of $600!!!

Not to mention your registration fees for Harlan this year will be cheaper if you're a member!

I received my order from Rusty's today. That was fast!

I ordered their HD XJ crossmember for my Jeep since I keep demolishing stock ones at almost every Crawl. I must say this thing is really nice and is way heavier that the stocker. I'll work on installing it soon.

I'm happy!

I plan to in the coming weeks. Things have been quite tight for me these past couple months so the jeep(and other hobbies) have suffered greatly. Should all be turning around soon so I'll be red letter in no time.

There are not too many options out that for that. Can you post a picture of it when you get a chance.

We only ask that you go without eating for a couple days. Is that too much to ask?!

Be prepared to possibly have to re-drill holes on it. I've installed 3 of them over the years and on all 3 I had to re-drill even after double confirming over the phone which engine/trans I had.

Picked up my new rotors and wheel studs for the 60 last night. I just about have all the parts...as soon as Carmine and I can both have a free weekend we will re-gear and prep for install! Took the doors of the MJ and went out to eat last night...she's jonesin for Harlan!! LOL

Hopefully it will fit with zero work but we'll see. I had to modify the last stock cross member to fit anyways by elongating the holes where it mounts to the unibody. My Father-in-law has a milling machine so I can get him to bore or elongate the holes if needed. I think it is still easier and cheaper than building one from scratch.
