Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Mine hasn't been tagged or insured in almost a year. If I could find some other tires I'd put t back and drive it around town a lot.

I drive mine around town some just to keep it running. I'm reminded each time why I don't DD it anymore...

Mine is not enjoyable to drive around town.
Same here, but like any good 'ol abusive relationship I just take it, give her money when she asks, drink my sorrows away and continue to service her.

Are we still talking jeeps?

I keep my MJ tagged and insured. Hell...next year I will be putting antique tags on it...30 years old baby!

I've not DD'd a jeep in about 4 years. But there was a time when all I had was my trail rig, and for the better part of a year I DD'd my CJ5 when I had it.

My wife DD"d the MJ for a while...all 5' of her. Got tired of it. She even DD'd her scout for a while when her car was totaled a few years ago.

If I had something horrible happen to where I lost everything...I'd get another XJ and start over.

Went to Charlotte yesterday afternoon to drop off my brand new receiver to get fixed. Saw some snow flurries. Went to 4wp and bought a high lift pin kit and a rubber hold down to try on my fire extinguishers. Chatted with the guys there for a while and found out they are looking at putting a location in SC! YAY! Grenville, Columbia, and Charleston are the area's being considered. Took D to Revolution Ale house for Date night/diner and then came home!

I FINALLY got the motor back in my XJ. I'm driving it on a ten day tag, so I have 9 days to get it inspected. Not out of the woods quite yet :banghead:

But I'm driving my XJ again!!! It'll be my DD probably until I get out of college...unless I find the time and money to make my old Plymouth operational...which I don't see happening soon

Until Doug and Tyler got looking at the MJ I had planned on making it a DD and weekend warrior. The rust became an issue and I wound up with the tow pig. Now that I DD that, I don't think I could ever go back. The luxuries have spoiled me. The XJ hasn't been tagged for several years now and I don't see a reason why I would ever want or need to put it on the road again. She will be continue to be a trailer queen.

Drove mine to work today. It's about as loud inside as one can imagine with it not having any interior. And it seems like it's pretty down on power, too. I'll have to check into that.....when it gets warm again. After this weekend I hope to have my brother in laws XJ fixed, and after that I'm going into winter retirement unless something absolutely HAS to be done on the vehicles!

Hahahaha I resemble this remark. With the jeep, I mean.

Don't get to do this snow-stuff very often, so I took advantage today. Even strapped a guy down off of a hilly side road when he got stuck after he tossed a bead.

Snatched the drivetrain from the 5 speed xj today.

It's fun to drive your junk around. We take her junk downtown for dinner and drinks just as much as we take it wheeling.

I drove around Friday and Saturday in East Nashville giving people rides, pushing people out who were stuck and the occasional tow out when pushing wasn't enough.

Separated the transmission from the engine Sunday. Changed the fuel filter on the Ghost, man the fuel coming out the filter when removed was nasty! Drove said ghost down the stree to the gas station and filled it up. Rolling bias 42's on Hwy 151 was an adventure. Flat spots tend to make for a bouncy ride.

After you helped them, did they scold you for driving a gas guzzling earth destroyer?
I think after WSMV showed the mass amount of Prius's slid out and abandon on the roads of middle Tennessee they knew to hold their tongues.

That said, EN has a solid mix of eco lovers and petrolheads. To many classic cars that don't meet emission standards.

Took care of puppies (lost the runt) Saturday and then cleaned up my wife's yardsale crap out of the garage Sunday. So next weekend will be another yard sale.

Cleaned up leaves...I really hate leaves. The dead ones anyway...I know the live ones are good for Oxygen and all.
