Weekend is over...what did you get done?

We just got our road plowed LOL! VDOT didn't do it either, it was my neighbor across the street and his son. They have 5 plow trucks, they brought the last three that were still running into the neighborhood and plowed. Even knocked the plugs out of the driveways and cleared the mailboxes. They have plowed for 80 hours straight, no sleep!

They started out on Wednesday with 5 trucks;
a 96 F-350 CCLB gasser, blew out a front axle shaft on Thursday
A brand new Chevy 2500 SCLB gasser with new boss plow, the plow quit raising up on Thursday morning. He had to drive it 25 miles with the plow down to the dealer to drop it off. VDOT got some free plowing from him in that deal.
Three 2010 Chevy 2500 SCLB gassers that made it through to the end!

Those trucks were beat to hell and back. Plowing is hell on a truck and 2' of snow makes it worse.

Finished my prothane bumpstops and finally did something about the rear ones. 7.5" prothane with UHMW inside to prevent over travel. My math was right and I have a 1/4" of uptravel left.

And took my doors off to enjoy the weather!

Question: I have a MORE steering box brace that attached at the passenger side inner frame rail and goes to the box. My bumper covers up the hole in the frame rail that the big (7/8?) bolt is supposed to go through... Just try to measure everything really well and hope I get it right with the drill bit or what here lol?

Saw Eric Church for free on Friday at Coyote Joe's (best acoustic performance I've ever seen), never though so much sound could come from a stage with just one man and his guitar on it, great experience there. I worked open to close yesterday, because someone quit about 10 minutes before they were supposed to be in. Now it's time to study for tests today and tomorrow -_-

Very cool. I've not seen him acoustically. I spent about 30 minutes with him and his wife socially about 2 months ago. Really nice people. Very different from his stage show persona!

That's awesome!!! I went to high school with a girl who's mom was friends with him in high school, she said he was a very nice guy. He was basically at Coyote Joe's to make an appearance, so his performance was only about 15 minutes long. I was impressed that he didn't bring his band up on stage. He has a huge fan base and all of those fans have very high expectations for him, so for him to get up on that stage and perform with nothing but his acoustic guitar, takes quite a lot of gall. He was able to play The Outsiders too, which I thought was awesome. Soon as he finished that song he was like "HAH! You didn't think I could do that acoustic did you? Neither did I" haha

Take your brace off stick a sharpie through the hole In the frame marking the bumper plate. Take bumper off and drill on the mark. Replace bumper.... At least that's what I did On The past 3 jeeps I've installed them on.

Yeah man I ended up leaving work at like 445 and drove straight there to start tailgating. We got in line at 530 on the back side of the building, the line for the front wrapped all the way around to the back, it was crazy, but completely worth it. Doors didn't open till 7

We left work at about 5:30. People walking up and down Wilkinson in the middle of the road to try and get to it. Can't say i've seen a crowd like that there in a loooooong time.

I am a fan of his music too..

Eric Church is a talented guy. He use to go by a park, drop his tailgate on his truck and perform songs for passers by, before he hit the big time.

That's awesome!! That's kinda how this concert was, just a laid back, "I'll play what I feel like playing tonight" kinda thing, it was awesome. There's also a student at WCU that just recorded in Nashville a couple weeks ago. He's friends with a buddy of mine that transferred down to Charlotte this semester. The guy's name is Dylan Riddle. According to my buddy, there were karaoke nights at WCU that a bunch of people who were terrible would sing at, so everybody would be in the courtyard just talking to everybody, then they said "Please welcome to the stage Dylan Riddle", and everybody charged the stage to hear him. He's a very talented young man as well.

Here's a cover of Smoke a Little Smoke that Dylan Riddle did

And one of Get Your Shine On

And an original of his, this one is on iTunes (the recorded one is not just acoustic)

Is the rest of his album like the singles that have been released? He's got some good ones out now. Love some of his older songs.

Everything he played was awesome, from what I can tell, a few songs on the new one are a lot like his old stuff, but it was an acoustic show, so it may actually sound completely different from what it sounds like with his full band.

Man you should've dropped by, me and Garrett would've let you cut in line with us haha, we let several of our friends do that. It was definitely worth the wait for it, I mean when Eric Church plays a free concert, you go, and that's what everybody else thought too evidently lol

Had I known, and had I not been shuttling people home in the Jeep (again), I probably would have!

Ahh gotcha, I'll definitely let you know next time that there's gonna be a good concert there. I know the Lacs are coming soon, but I don't know whether not I'll be going to that, it's borderline what I like, and I've heard they suck in concert

Doesn't Eric Church have a badass CJ? I wanna say it was him. It was 5.3 swapped. I don't like much country as of late but Eric Church always has good stuff.
