Weekend is over...what did you get done?

"Where's my droid?" It's a nifty little app.

It's pretty entertaining when I tell my phone to send it's GPS coordinates back to me and then show up where my phone says it is. :)

Phone was not lost phone was taken from the bar by a friend.... or was it my hands.... hmm I don't seem to recall.... Was a good time this weekend though.

Dropping my Jeep off at HD offroad Friday! :D

Regeared my spare 8.25 today.

4.56's with a lunchbox locker about to be on order. BL came out to .0065" or a little more after the adjusters were torqued. D30 comes tomorrow. Feel pretty proud of this for a 19 year old doing it myself. Yukon install kits are AWESOME.

Coast/drive pattern matchup looks excellent, but I'm not sure I like how close the pattern is to the crest of the teeth.

I put some 4 door JK front coils on my 4 cylinder TJ. They lifted it 2", which leveled it out. Now I'm trying to decide whether or not to put the rear coils on. They will lift it enough that I'll need spacers in the front, but I'll be able to clear 33's pretty easily. The stock JK springs will be long enough to accommodate the lift, even if I put spacers in the front....

This was the 4th set up lol. Best looking one by far, I think the picture is deceiving. There is a bit of a harsh line towards the crest but I don't think it's as high as it looks.

I worked on my camper. But since this isn't a camper forum I won't post more pictures. lol

But I haven't seen a pic of it lifted yet.....

Ahh I think I see that now. Also the paste pattern toward the root of the teeth makes it look like the pattern is roughly centered on the pinion teeth, so I have to agree.

I'm no gear expert anyways, I've only done a few, can still count em on half of a hand :o

Agreed, I want to do an 8.25 sometime since they only have one set of shims. 30s are annoying, with 4 sets... make yourself a set of setup bearings and you'll be much happier.

This was my first one and all by myself. I'm doing the 30 after church today. It's pretty time consuming but not too hard. Feels cool to say you did your own gears!

I did my 30 last summer. First time setting up gears as well. Between that and rebuilding the rest of it, I had a full weekend into it easily.

It hasn't locked up and sent the Jeep into a nose stand yet, so I must have done something right...lol

I re-installed my long arms, changed a brake caliper, changed a driveshaft ujoint, topped off brake and steering fluid and engine coolant. I got a lot accomplished in preperation for the flog this coming weekend.

Went to Chattanooga for Dan's wedding this weekend. Enjoyed being there for their big day and seeing everyone. Pretty much wound up being an SEC reunion!

Met up with KP in Knoxville for lunch today and to get his RC suspension he no longer wanted, then stopped by to see Doug on the way out of town.

Busy weekend but got a lot accomplished and saw a lot of people!

Spent the day yesterday trying out different tow setups for the XJ on the hauler while hooked to the suburban. I haven't towed much with the 'Burb, so it was all trial and error but I finally hit on a good position on the trailer & spring bar tension setting that made the ride nice and stable.

Then I checked the breakaway backup battery on the trailer and opened a can of worms. The battery was at 1.3v. That's not good. After going over the wiring I discovered that it was a FUBAR wiring job in the battery/breakaway area. I had always wondered how the manufacturer figured out a way to forgo the traditional breakaway kit and just had a small battery on the tongue. Well my wonders were answered when I poked around the wiring job. It was simply wired up as wrong as it could be. Instead of getting a charge from the constant 12v source in the trailer wiring, the battery was wired to the vehicle brake control output, but it was wired into the circuit after the breakaway emergency switch, so the only time it would ever receive any voltage to get a charge would be if the brake control was outputting max voltage (rare occasion) and only if the emergency brake switch were tripped. So needless to say after 3-1/2 years of not being charged the battery is toast.

I went to Northern Tool and caught a breakaway kit on sale and will commence to rewiring it all tomorrow. I'm just glad I've never needed those emergency brakes!

Been doing floorboard replacements the past 3 weeks.

It's been a job but I knew with the rusted floor pans and me wanting to sell the jeep soon I had to fix it right. I'm very happy with how it turned out and I basically eliminated almost all of the rust from the jeep.

You must not have been paying attention. ;)

I don't like the step at all. It pretty much defeated the whole purpose in lifting it. lol I'll probably take that back off.

You can't sell it now!

That turned out great! Now you need to keep it.
