I put the driver side ball joints & all new ZJ steering on today. Didn't realize that when you do the ZJ conversion you only use the tie rod and not the drag link. Whoopsie! A little trim & relocate on the passenger side sway bar axle mount and if fits fine now. After fighting everything I touched, I called it a day and will do the passenger side ball joints next weekend.
I did, however, find that the driver's side axle shaft's splines are twisted a bit. I was wondering why the shaft wouldn't come out at first, then I gave it smack with a rubber mallet at the u-joint and it popped out. Guess I also need to be doing a little deeper inspection into the diff next weekend to make sure the Easy Locker is still all intact. It's a little "clunkier" than I'm used to hearing in tight turns; may have a broken pin or three at this point lol.

Those damn trees jump out of nowhere. I've had 2 run into me!
Finally got around to tracing down the source of a drain on my electrics (I hate electrical work). After spending most of the afternoon poking around with the multimeter (I hate electrical work), and lots of head scratching while thumbing through diagrams in the FSM (I hate electrical work), I traced it back to the radio. Guess it's time for a new one. I'd like to personally thank Chrysler for NOT labeling all of the fuses in the PDC either. All of the small fuses are only listed in the FSM from what I could see, and only in the electrical schematics. Good thinking there guys! :spin1:

Looks like a good place. That's somewhere in Alabama, right?
We bought my brother's Jeep with 248K, needed a cooling system flush, fan clutch, and a water pump, and it still runs like a top. I'd take it from Panama to Hudson Bay without second thought
Electrical work sucks, I'd rather replace a head gasket or rear main seal than trace down electrical problems.

I installed the LMC headlight harness in the 99 yesterday. Was all excited about it until I realized it caused my headlights to act crazy.

Right, I made my own too on the earlier model. It worked perfectly. The harness isn't the issue. The issue is with the factory wiring not liking the additional relays in the harness.
The OEM fog light circuit is freaking it out.

tightened and greased all the steering components in the little jeep, aligned the steering wheel. Did a coolant flush, oil change, spark plugs and ac charge in the trail rig.....
