Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Glenn, I have a buddy who needs 2 door passenger window. Coming to URE anytime soon?

No front driveshaft and No trailer of my own so I highly doubt it.

Past weekend-pulled the key out of the ignition after turning the xj off-problem was it was in the on position and I didn't notice (so along with my nearly gone door locks the ignition cylinder is on the replace list). Go back out to replace the cigarette lighter (I smoke cigars and grabbed a yard one-it wasn't the right one). Dead battery. Grab the keys and the jump box and jump it off-left the garage door open so for 15 minutes my no cat XJ was blowing exhaust inside. Wife was happy (well pissed but the laughing).

This weekend-hoping to check the AC system out some along with 14 more bags of concrete in the back for a f'n pinterest project.

I hauled my camper to my new spot on my land, set it up, picked up some roots, almost died of a heat stroke, got eat up with chiggers, had a birthday party for my middle daughter, slept, ate.

And talked to Glenn.

That's about it.

I woke his ass up Saturday morning.... Chatted a while. Spent some time with my Brother in Law and put his dad to rest. The man is a true testament to the greatest generation to live. WWII navy vet and 93 years of living!

Installed a new radiator in the mother-in-laws 1998 XJ. I hate those crappy plastic tanks. The rad was brand new when she bought the XJ less than 4 years ago and it had a 4" split in the tank.

I kept thinking we need to replace it with a copper/brass but now that it has a new alum/plastic, I'd say that won't happen anytime soon.

I agree with the WWII guys being our greatest generation. They were the last to truly have a hand In building our country. I have a couple of living relatives that were among the fold, and they still tell me something new every time I see them. These guys are the last of a dying breed and we can only hope that some of us, and today's youth grow up with 1/4 of the balls these guys had.

Yessir!

Been Sitting on my lift and tires for about a month, and a parts truck with 4wd (as mine is 2wd) for ~8 months. Finally 2 weeks ago i pulled the front axle, got it cleaned, and prepped for install. Today I installed my RE 3.5" kit and 17" Moabs with 32" BFG Mud Terrains. Next weekend i swap the tranny, xfer case (which is sitting in the garage, rebuilt), and bedline from the body line down.

Sorry I missed you this weekend. Drove literally right past the shop at about noon. That's definitely the way to go to and from Myrtle Beach!

Scored a gas tank skid, a/c compressor, and gauge cluster at the gas tank FTW! Installed my new rear bumper from ares fabrication, said gauge cluster, and last but most important replaced that little steering column cable to lower and raise the wheel lol

I like the 17" Moabs. I had been wanting to do that to the baby Jeep.

Been working on a few random things. Low pro roof rack, diff covers, about to do long arms, shackle relocation brackets, and all that fun stuff. Looking for a new job to get away from making pizzas and start using what I'm in school for... Oh and my XJ is up for cherokee of the month on Cherokee Forum if any of you are on there and would lend me a vote :)

So the brown santa showed up today with my new improved beefy trackbar. Cant wait to install it now.

Traded in my DD today for a new DD. Signed the papers on a 2013 Focus ST. I won't take delivery until Monday as the one I wanted (performance blue in color) was in VA and had to be brought in.

Monday evening can't come soon enough!

RACECAR! No but seriously, get a helmet and find a local AutoX!

Yes! And video it.

So, I spent the majority of yesterday afternoon putting shocks, sway bar bushings and new unit bearings on my wife's Jeep only to find out after I'd put it completely back together that I had been sent the wrong bearings... Now it all has to come back apart.

On the bright side, it'll come back apart WAY easier than it did the first time.

This thing has 185k on it and still had the original shocks and unit bearings...
