Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Bought my first Ruger Handgun today, an LC9. Now i'm packing all ninja style. :D

I chauffer part time with a limo service here in town. Not trained on the stretch yet, usually just the Town Cars or the Suburbans. But I got some runs for tonight in a Town Car. Going to pick up a Tennessee Titan football player and tote him around tonight.

Last Saturday I had the chance to pick up Eric Church at home and take him to his concert at the Bridgestone, but I had tickets to the concert and couldn't make the move and still get back to the concert on time.

Being a chauffer is a pretty interesting and fun side job.

Ordered my gears from Tyler today (4.10's) to get ready to rebuild this D30 I have. Now I just need to see if I can come up with a carrier to go with it as they're sold out for the moment.

I feel like ZJ's were 3.73....anybody know if that's true? Going to try and hit up PAP this weekend to see if I can find a carrier if one from a ZJ D30 will work.

Nice! Was it stock when you picked acquired it?

I've been laid up with the surgery arm for the last couple days. I went and picked up some paracord to play with. Came up with a super cool useless thingy.

methinks the ZJ had the low pinion 30, but I honestly can't remember ever checking that.....

you did remind me of a question I've been wondering, though:

will a JK D44 carrier work in an XJ D44-- and if so, anyone know if a 2009/10 2WD came with 3.73's or 4.10's?

Coolness!

Now I just need to find somebody with a Rock Auto discount code....just priced out all the remaining parts I need and racked up a $400 quote...:gee:
ask and ye shall receive... just got one in my email a while ago. 94313607067558 expires July 8

Use it as much as you want, it isn't limited by uses, just time.

Suhweeeeeeet!

I wish I could find some that were for more than 5% off. Found multiple codes floating around various automotive forums last night as well.

Went to the junkyard to grab some ZJ axle shafts, and stumbled upon a late model Classic that had this...

A non rubicon rear MIGHT, but I'm thinking no. That being said, a front JK Rubicon locker will fit in a rear XJ 44 housing, but you have to run thick gears for a standard 44 (non jk) and you have to either machine a larger bevel into the inside corner of the ring gear or you have to machine the radius off of the inner flange on the carrier. Also, it takes different bearings than a standard 44 but there is an easy to get off the shelf bearing that will work.

So even if you run a front JK rubicon locker, you would still have to get new gears.

Edit: By the way, a Dana 30 carrier is a Dana 30 Carrier. Doesn't matter if its low pinion or high pinion. They are the same.
