Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Hmmm, So those things fixed it. Her CTS has never really seems to work just right but I always marked that up to the coolant issues we've had. There's only one CTS on the late model heads, right?

Is there still one way at the back of the head?

Why'd you f it up?

haha because im good like that......

it has an autotrac case which has a fulltime 4wd option so it has clutch packs in place of a viscous coupling. It can be rebuilt but in order to set it up properly it needs a special setup bench the places proper increments of weight on it. so i cant do it myself, chevy dealer will do it for 710 if i bring them the case. so it splits the difference, a used case is 500, a new one is 1500, a rebuilt one with new parts and new special "autotrac" fluid is 710

i love my chevy but i shoulda bought a friggin toyota tundra when i had the chance.

I'd chalk that up to people trying to re-invent the wheel (i.e. overcomplicate the transfercase). Not just Chevy, others too. Remember the first generation ZJ's with quadra-trac? There's a reason why you can pick those Jeeps up for fairly cheap....

And yes, only one CTS on the late model XJ's. Sticks out of the thermostat housing...can't miss it!

I'm going to pick up a different seat tomorrow. Finally can get rid of the one with the broken back that had the right side gangster lean.

I test drove a Jeep for the giveaway committee last week that they passed on, but the guy had swapped for WJ seats. He ended up selling the Jeep, but the new owner didn't take the XJ seats, so I'm getting them dirt cheap!

if i had 22k lying around id put it toward one with a rock warrior package

Nice! My step dad has a 2008 5.7L Limited. Very sweet truck. Loads of power and actually gets fairly decent mileage for it's size.

this came in this week..... wheeling videos will be so much more exciting

Again, nice!! My roommate picked up one of these a couple of weeks ago. Pretty sure i'll have it with me for Harlan this year :)

id like to pick up the rollcage mount for it.... a magnet mount would be nice but it would have to be a pretty good magnet

I have the handlebar mount. It's pretty solid. The roll bar is just a larger diameter.

That's wierd...

I can't keep the gauge lights from blowing in the 98 to save my life. I'll replace the fuse and it'll be fine for a while (a week or so) then they go out again. I hate electrical grimlins!

You probably have a pinched wire somewhere grounding out on something.

Usually I can clean all the connections and battery terminals and it fixes most problems. But this crap of them coming back on after I've shut the Jeep off is a new one...
