Weekend is over...what did you get done?

damn right! i looked closer, and it turns out that 4 of 6 injectors have been replaced, and the fuel rail clips weren't on right, so that accounts for 4 of the leaks... the old injectors are the problem now...

April me at work this morning to bring me breakfast and had coolant spitting out of all the hoses. The jeep was hot as hell and the gauge said all was fine. A month ago all the coolant looked nice and clear. Now it looks like mud. Gunna flush it all out when I get home and hope for the best.

thats why i dd a toyota..... all i do is change the oil and trans fluid and it runs.... i dont think the radiator cap has been pulled off since it got a timing belt a few years ago.

I love jeeps dont get me wrong, but having to work on my dd all the time was getting old

I'm starting to feel the same way...

Especially since I gave her my Jeep to drive back home and have to deal with the hot Jeep on the ride home. I went by the parts store on break and grabbed some coolant and some flush stuff.

I've always flushed into a T on the heater hose and back out of the radiator cap. Is there a better way to do it that we know of?

Agreed 100%, which is why when I stumbled upon a low mileage Acura that met the criteria of what I was looking for in a DD for an outstanding price, I snatched it up.

So nice to not have to worry about getting the Jeep back together by Sunday to still get to work on Monday...

Buy enough Jeeps and you can DD and trail ride them. That's my MO.

Same here... 2 MJs, an XJ, and a 5 ton plus 3 friends parts rigs in my yard... there's always at least one running and another close to it, and I can't count the number of times I've texted someone to ask if I can buy a part off their parts hulk and left the cash on the drivers seat in my own yard.

Me too. 1 MJ and 4 XJs. The MJ isn't quite going yet but it will be soon, one XJ is drivable but not something I would want to have to drive, 1 trail rig that I could drive but it'd be aweful cold this time of year and both of our DDs.

But there's always something that needs to be done to one of them. I've been fighting over heating issues with her DD and mine squeaks.

Damn, just caught up on this thread.......Stump you might be the man........

Honestly, I would forgo the loose absorbent and stick to the pads instead. Much easier to manage/maintain. We buy ours for work at www.newpig.com (yes, I know).

Roll some up in a 5 GAL bucket with a few small trash bags to bag 'em up in and you'll be good to go.

Met up with Jim after work for a couple of brews from a couple of different local brewery's in the area. They were doing a promotion where some of the proceeds from each brew sold were donated to a local project going on in the neighborhood. Money going to a good cause, good local brews, and good company. Pretty much a win all around.

Thanks for the round Jim! I'll get you one next time around!

Is the Jeep going to fit on the back with the camper on it? Do ya have a camper or are ya going to build something?

I think you should use ply wood, a screen door and some mobile home windows. That'd be super redneck!

My MJ was leaking some oil, go figure, so I got to investigating and I believe it's all coming from the valve cover, so, I swapped a '99 valve cover and gasket onto my '89. I hope that takes care of the leaking oil. Now I just have to replace some injectors to stop the leaking gas...

I think Jeeps were built to leak.

Speaking of the MJ I might be in Chattanooga in March and will bring that tailgate if I do.

I'll be there the 21st and the 24th of March. If those are the dates, I can get it the rest of the way into Tennessee.
