Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Some of the stuff I've been busy doing getting ready for our little lady's arrival.
Office has been transformed into her nursery.
Here is after the paint and chair rail and prep of the vertical trim.

The daycare room is now our new Rec room. New paint, paint, furniture, moved the office down here, and moved the dogs crate down here. Been rocking the hell out of this room since we finished it. It'ls like we just added 420 sqft to the house. (Since it's been only for the daycare for the last 4 years)
Had to fix a wall first.

Feel off the face of the earth for a bit, got a year older, family is about to grow by one in 10 weeks or less, and two family members opted out. So it's been a pretty damn interesting roll around here. On to brighter days and better opportunities.

Welcome back, Happy belated birthday, Congratulations on the new baby Ogre, and I'm sorry for your losses, no matter what, that's not an easy thing.

You have had alot going on sir. We need to get together for lunch...soooon!!!!

No i didnt insulate it it is held in the same way the headliner is usually held in except i used three screws where my overhead console is.

literally rip out the old headliner and lay it on the 4x8 paneling and cut it with a jigsaw

Got up at 2am to drive my wife and kid to the airport in Firenze, 1.5 hours away from my house. Got to the counter and was told that Pisa - Firenze airport doesn't mean Firenze, it means Pisa. Yes, the ticket has two airports listed by name, but the airport code was Pisa.

We have 1 hour to return to the Pisa airport, which is only 5 minutes from my house.

Thanks to the federal law requiring that the government announce the radar boxes well in advance, we did 180kph back to Pisa and made the 1.5 hour drive in about 40 minutes. People were still passing us.

These are posted about 100m before these boxes that radar your car and photograph the license plate if you are speeding. The reason for the warning? Too many wrecks occurred when these warnings were posted from drivers locking up their brakes when they saw an unannounced radar box. Now with the warning signs, everyone has 100m to slam on their brakes. And after the box, everyone goes back to wide open throttle. No worries though, most Fiats only have 80hp, so wide open throttle translates to roughly 60kph, or as fast as most people can ride a bike.

I should mention that I had nothing to do with driving to the wrong airport. I am however to blame for not double checking my wife's work. Earlier this year she flew in to Istanbul only to discover that the car she reserved was at the other airport in Istanbul, 50 minutes away.

That was one of the things I liked about Italian highways....book it, book it, book it some more....annnnnd stttooooooooooooooooooooppppp for a few meters, ok now resume booking it!

drove 500 miles in one day, then found out that my injector orings are leaking profusely, and that's why my jeep is suddenly getting terrible mileage.:( i guess i know what my afternoon is gonna consist of.....
