Weekend is over...what did you get done?

I've learned a thing or three about Italians. The only things they do slow are eat and work. And by work, I mean drinking the 19 different variants of coffee, aptly named differently to indicate which time of the day it currently is. I sent an exact copy of the import paperwork that the import office needed to give to me. Ya, their copy came to me wrong. The part where they confirm my VIN on the title is the VIN on the Jeep, that's taken over 24 hours while the Jeep sits on their lot. I did get to drive it twice, all of 200 meters, no faster than 30km/h. So far so good. Italy just passed a new law. If you don't have snow chains in your car, it's an instant 300 euro fine. I haven't been able to locate 35" chains. I guess I'll wing it.

Oh lord. You're already talking that metric crap.

Mandatory snow chains... Strange. You'd think they'd let ya slide set up the way you are.

Make some snow chains...

get two sets of chains for those goofy little Smart cars and chain them end to end maybe?

Brilliant. On another note, cars aren't assets here, they're more like bumper cars designed with paint that should be removed at every opportunity. I can't wait to practice Italian style parking with the XJ.

I like the metric system. Actually never learned the English system past inches, fee, yards (grew up in the UK). The tow truck driver asked me what the 4.0L displacement was in cubic centimeters. I was stumped.

$100+ for some chains?

Rear tire hitting! im assuming its just sitting there not really bolted up?

Yeah, 100 bucks for chains. That's why I said make them.

You sir have no up travel. lol With it that close I doubt you have any go travel either.

SAWZALL!!!

4 litres in a 4.0. 1000cc in a litre.
