Weekend is over...what did you get done?

I'm leaning kinda towards bushings too...especially the UCA's as they're factory, and so are are the bushings! Just haven't had the time or help to really diagnose it.

Ideally I wanted to build some sliders, but the price of steel is sky rocketing again so I think in the end it'd be about the same amount to just buy some and not have to spend time making them (even though that would be fun).

I was also thinking about calling Lennie one day and seeing what he'd charge for gears. And while everything's out for gears, do the obvious PM work like seals, bearings, axleshaft ujoints...etc. What did he do your gears for? I'd have no problem with Lennie doing it because I know I could hang out and watch/learn from him as well.

Definitely would like to get some others in the area down (or at the very least, drag Nick's lazy butt down :D ).

Gotta build the funds back up though..this summer was killer on my bank account!

I think Lennie has a styandard arte of $150 per axle you supple the grears and insall kits. I agree on the sliders. I enjoyed building mine but today I'd probalby just buy a set. Well if you come down for some work with him I could put you up for the weekend. As long as I'm here. LOL! I'm really wanting to go back to Aiken soon.

Got my Yakima bars on the roof. Ready for some more kayakin. Waitin on my wind deflector/sticker holder to get here. I can't decide if I want to leave the stock bars up there or not. Looks kinda stupid with them.

Dammit Andy, you're making me want a tailbone! I have a set of Surco gutter mounts, I think I'm gonna make some crossbars like that or a really low profile roof rack for it.

I think you mean a backbone. You can oogle over mine on the 8th.

I sure wish I could have bought a tailbone. It sure frees up a lot of room by getting the spare tire outside.

Spare what's that? Mine is in Ky still! ;)

Yeah, I wish it sat closer to the roof but oh well. This one stays close to the pavement. Love the backbone. Just needs a smaller fairlead.

Run some rope and get an AL one.

Thought about that but I ain't gunna drop the cash on a winch I rarely use. I have rope on my other one. I love that stuff! Ill probably buy rope for this one when the cable dies.

I got rid of mine and the rails.

I took the crossbars off. I think I like the look of the factory rails up there. Looks MUCH better with the deflector/sticker holder and the stocker bars gone.

I did some chopping on my trail junk today but I'll get a little farther along before I post pictures of that.

Drove to Florida yesterday arrived at 2:30 am.

Got the engine, tranny, tcase and axles pulled out of the parts jeep. :D

Its mazing how fast you can do this with a sawzall and cutoff wheel.
