Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Put a different unit bearing on the wife's '00 and a different long side shaft, bad u-joint in original one, plus drilled out the bottom caliper bolt hole in the knuckle, it was stripped, and put in a helicoil and all is well. No more vibes from front end.

Now if I could just solve the low idle issue on it and find the leak in the A/C she'll be set.

your on your own for the low idle but the ac evaporator behind the dash is usually the culprit in the 97+ jeeps..... i had a 98 that had the same issue and i used the ac refrigerant with the flourescent dye to track the leak the leak the the drain tube coming out of the dash, those are notoriously bad for going south im suprised the one in sams is still good

I made a paperweight today...... and besides reorganizing my toolbox its all I did

I went to look at a 99 Limited today and will be back on Monday to drive it home. Its in amazing shape for the miles and the fact that its a PA Jeep.

Now I will have something reliable for when I move down to TN. Pics coming when I get it in my driveway.

Had a great weekend in FLorida. Saw my Nephiew graduate from High School and saw some great sights. Loading up and heading back to the ville!

Where at in FL? Did you come all the way down here and didn't even wave?

Tore apart my spare 30 to get the locker out. Man that was easier than i thought. Both shafts came out without any trouble. The carrier and Gear set are in awesome shape so i'm gonna re use them to save a little cash. Gonna order a master kit and have a buddy set it up. Hopefully shortly after the crawl it'll be locked F/R with 4.10's! :D I'm thinking i'll do the SYE on my spare 231 next sunday and order some e-brake cables for the 8.8 soon.

Its been awhile since Ive been on here. Been fixing up my firechicken. Anyways about a week ago my Ujoint took a dump on me and left me stranded with a hanging driveshaft. Replaced the Ujoint and transmission seal. Today I installed a hitch and also added a bike rack so I can take the jeep to the mountains for some biking this summer. Also from awhile back I installed a new front winch bumper.

working 5 14-hour shifts a week....
dropped the tranny for the waggy off to be rebuilt(strong stuff)
bought an 86 isuzu trooper II for the cheep cheep.
thought about trading the trooper for a v8 scout.... then thought about it some more.
also thought about lifting and wheeling the trooper til the ifs breaks and swapping in a waggy front axle. now i'm going to bed so i can handle work. 5am to 7 or 8pm gets old purty fast... uuuugghhhh.

Made it back in one piece from the test run at Windrock. First day one of the front brake calipers stuck and wound up having ton replace it. Other than that drove 85 trail miles in three days without a problem.

You need to get FB. LOL! I was on I-95 the whole way. IIRC you are over there with Travis. Oh yea....

Got the new Jeep yesterday and was not able to get a camera until today. So far its reading a solid 18.4 mpg overall with 22-24 mpg on the highway. Goes down the road straight and has plenty of power. With todays ridiculous heat/humidity and the a/c blowing full blast it got to 215 while it was sitting in the parking lot idling for 20 mins. It needs a few things but none are mechanical so far. I am shooting for next weekend to repaint the roof (rust/paint peeling), and I need to fix the cruise control tomorrow.

I could not be happier with it for what I paid. Its a 99 Limited that I got for $3000 after tax/tags/title...

Anyway here are the pictures:
