Weekend is over...what did you get done?

the guy coming to pick up the axles wheels and steering hasnt answered my phone calls today..... anyone still interested in some xj built d44's?

Met Ed and Mark.

After that went to the mud bog... Check this out! The first one is a video. Click it.

Now, after watching that video it doesn't look very impressive. BUT if you would have been there to see the trucks on 40s sinking down to the bumpers you'd see what I meant. This samurai stays on TOP of the mud. That mud hole would have eaten my Jeep.

And this lovely piece work.

I picked up the XJ from Rides of Conover today and went straight to opening weekend at Uwharrie National Forest. Surprisingly, the OHV area was less busy than I've ever seen it.

I had Rides do fender trimming and a front seat harness bar.

Trimmed fenders:

Harness bar installed:

Rear matching Corbeau seat installed:

Looks good...how did those tires work?? What pressure you using?

Went SC to pick up my D30 from lowrange2. Had a great time. See the SC Road Trip thread for all the details.

Yesterday was my B-day so I went and bought my Aetna lease (first time Ive ever been on the lease) and then spent the rest of the day gathering and installing parts into the Dodge. I put in the Edge tuner I bought used and holy crap its impressive! On "economy" I can get a couple more miles to the gallon, but on extreme I simply cant shift it as fast as it gets up and goes. Then I started on the stereo system. I got a nice Alpine head unit with i-pod integration and put it in. I have had it for a while but was just waiting on a truck to install it into. I also stumbled upon a 6 channel alpine amp so I went and snagged it yesterday too. Now all that's left is to find some affordable speakers and get them installed too.

I was always partial to Polk Audio. Happy birthday!

I played in a savage tournament this weekend. This means there were no subs. 3 games lasted 1.5 hrs and one game lasted an hour. No breaks, either.

Went and looked at this! :D

Its a 2.8 but runds pretty good. Needs a tune up i'm sure. The compression on 5 cylinders was around 135-140, the other was 90. Gonna throw some restore in the oil when i change it but for the shape and the price I'm gonna have to pick it up!

Washed all the Badlands sand and pebbles that made it back to TN off the XJ Sunday.

I found I'm going to have to do some trimming on my rear wheel wells since 32's are wrinkling the metal and I have 33's on order.

Played in the yard with my little girl for 3 hours. I'm beat.

Moved an xj for a guy over near Sumpter that is in the Air Force on Saturday. Saturday afternoon work on the suck down winch, and pulled the rod from my old brake booster. Sunday worked some more on the suck down winch. Found some thngs that might need to be addressed. Did not have anyone around to help lighn the trackbar back up so I calle it a day at 4. Went to see Hop with the boys and some family.

drove all the way to mobile al over the weekend with the family to visit friends. 8hrs down (not bad really with several stops and a lunch stop) but 9hrs back UGH! that sucked... we left late and it threw the schedule off so two meal stops plus gas and bathroom breaks... sucked. (wife and two kids one 3 and other 9months)

Nice Manche! What are your thoughts about a supercharged 3.8 swap? I know a guy in Chattanooga that could probably tackle that for you. Rumor has it he even put a LS2 Vette engine into a Cherokee! :wave1:

Flexd couldn't handle all that power. Rumor has it he's swapping a 1.6L from a Chevy Tracker into it for a little more umph.
