Weekend is over...what did you get done?

It's a Lowrange4x4 inc one off custom. :)

This was back when I had access to a CNC Laser... :( I miss that thing!

Yes, I gusseted the shit out of the inside of it. It's 3/16 plate all over with 1/4 gussets on the inside between the frame mounts. Those bumper brackets I bought from UkraineTrain, iirc.

Got my SYE install today, and my front DS for the rear, now only need to carry one spare to fix things. only thing is I might be off a degree or two on the pinion to DS hard to say really do to having to read it at an angle. next the TC skid from JCR offroad.

That is pretty sweet design there lowrange. Bet you really do miss that CNC!

Yes, A LOT! Been tossing around the idea of buying the same thing but using a plasma instead of laser. They're a lil more affordable...

I don't miss that job but I sure as hell miss the access to the HUGE machine shop.

Got the XJ back together! Clutch feels good, might need a bit more bleeding. Still have that popping noise. Glad that I have a new clutch/slave, but it is back to square one on the popping.

Most importantly I can drive the Jeep again while I brainstorm my next move!!!!

inquiring minds want to know:

how many o-ring on the lines, and how'd you get everything together?

Sometimes the new unit will have o rings in them. So the ones that come off the line are the ones that were in the old one. Which makes it not fit bc there are more then what is needed.

Go work on your suckdown winch. It's a nice day outside and I want to copy what you did. Chop chop!

I picked up a set of brand new OME Nitro Charger 0-3" shocks, still in the box, from a local wheeler for $50 (all 4)

I couldn't wait to get those 21 year old shocks off of my 1990 XJ, it rides smooooth now:cool:

Ya'll come by here sometime. I'll grille ya a steak and give ya a beer.

I been meaning to ask you. Was that you that called me when we were at Gulches? I never did get to the phone in time.

:)

I might have. I know I hollar'd at you on the cb a few times. how far are you from Old Four Notch Rd in Ridge Spring?

...and the Jeep is down again. Pissing fluid from the slave.... again.

Man, that thing really is the devil.

I'd be really tempted to try and find or rig up an external slave setup, at least then replacing the slave doesn't require dropping the transmission.
