Nothing jeep related, but last night I flew my first MEDEVAC mission to the location of an IED blast that injured U.S. Troops. We landed on the road and were being very vigiliant in watching for enemy wanting to take pop shots at us. A very exciting and scary moment that I will most likely never forget.

Wish that was all I had to do to the jeep.

Oh, not even close. Gonna try to change out my swaybar bushings tonight and put the final(hopefully) coat on my taillight boxes. Then, I'll wire them up later this week. I really need to get to throwing the huge pile of parts on my garage floor on it.

So, how do you remove frozen ball joints? I've banged, heated, pressed, banged, pressed, heated, soaked, and banged some more. They're STUCK!

The knuckle is off. The ball joints are stuck in the taper on the C's.

I haven't really found a good way to press them out yet. If I had a shop press I might be able to rig something up.

These joints have the screw in taper sleeves. I wonder if I could just screw the sleeve out... What tool does it take to remove it... Looks like it would take a small castle socket like the spindle uses.

spider trax spacers came in .. hope its enough to push those moab rims out and away from leaf springs..

3 grade washers would have done the same thing!

not as cool as ionized blue aluminum spacers... and it comes with a sticker.. washers dont.. unless you can peal the price tag off...

Certainly, I need the size and typed out EXACTLY how you want it. I also have to pick a font. So let me know what font you want. I use a Mac so my fonts are a lil different than Windows...

and then you'd have to deal with schmucks like me that would offer you the $0.35 on the price tag for the whole Jeep.

got me a lift kit for my xj! too bad my slave cylinder went out on the way to pick it up....
i need to replace a motor mount and the intake/exhaust manifold gasket too, so i'll prolly kill all them birds by pulling the motor out and putting it back in. anybody wanna help?

No need to pull the motor out, that's just a lot of work.

I'd say you should sell it and walk everywhere, but I'd be afraid that both of your legs would end up broken.

well, it's a four cylinder, and i need to change the exhaust/intake gasket, too. i might as well just pull it out- friggin puegot transmissions. i wish i had the money laying around to pick up an ax5 with an external slave.

Alpha, i know exactly what you mean. i've been getting rid of my jeeps to frequently though, so i'm going to keep this one for a while, even if i do have to fix it some. this is gonna be my punishment for buying a an 84 cherokee instead of getting a newer one that came with better stuff from the factory.
