Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Cleaned on the car some Friday, getting ready for the 45th Mustang Anniversary in Birmingham, AL. Then, Friday night I headed up to Murphreesboro, TN to see a buddy. We hung out at his work for a few hours until he got off. On Saturday we hit up the pull-a-part where I scored some spare axles for my Dana 30. They are in good shape, the unit bearings are good and tight, but one needs a new u-joint. Saturday night, we went out for a night on the town, went up to Nashville and hit up 2nd Avenue. We were going to go to the Coyote Ugly saloon, but Ben doesn't turn 21 until December, and they wouldn't let him in. However, grahams central station is 18 and up, so we had a decent time there; played pool for a couple hours and had a few drinks... then realized I suck at pool when I've been drinking lol. Then the girls hopped up on the bar and started dancing. One of them reminded me of Brandi so much, she was built almost exactly the same, but a little taller and blonde, she was beautiful. I couldn't deal with it. I no longer saw this stranger up there, I saw Brandi. I had to leave. We then went down to Hard Rock to grab a bite to eat. I had a pretty good burger, but enjoyed drowning my sorrows, in the "sex on the beach" that was so good, even more. I also, in my drunkeness found 2 ladies to talk to, but that didn't help my problem. After the several drinks, it was time to head back, I was getting pretty bad. I yelled and "sang" all kinds of songs to people all up and down 2nd avenue, and made a complete and utter fool of myself. Almost to the point that I regret even going. Don't get me wrong, I like having a good time, but depression sucks, and alcohol can only help so much. The things I did last night wasn't me. Its not who I am. I've just been so pissed at the world that I have lost care for many many things, my standards, my beliefs and morals, and also many people. The alcohol makes me smile, at least for a few hours, and that seems to be the only relief that I can get sometimes. Yeah, working on the car, Jeep, truck, etc does help some, but in the end, they are only vehicles, and they cant talk back or help me feel any better.

Anyway, enough of the novel...
When I got back today I got out the aluminum polish and went over the wheels and trim on the car and also replaced the oil pressure sender since it went out again. Tomorrow night I plan on cleaning the interior out really well, and cleaning the windows. Tuesday night I have class, but on Wed I will wax the car and give it a final onceover. We will be heading out pretty early on Friday morning. The weather is supposed to be nice, so maybe it will be a good trip.

Drove home in the pouring rain Friday night, passing about 10 or so accidents on the 60 mile commute. Went to a wake Friday evening for a good friend of my step dad's. Got a phone call later on that night from my step sis that her car battery died at the grocery store after she left our house...so I drove across town at 11pm in the pouring rain to jump her car off since her pathetic excuse of a boyfriend has no idea how to use the jump box that my step brother bought us all for Christmas a couple of years ago.

Saturday was the easy day as I caught up on some much needed sleep, then mom took me out and bought me a whole bunch of stuff unexpected...which was very cool.

Today went to doing a full and complete detail on the Jeeps and the Tundra, then getting ready for the family to come over for Easter dinner. After dinner my step brother and I ran some cable from the attic to one of the bedrooms...so for the rest of the night i've been coughing up insulation.

Back to class bright and early at 8:00 in the freakin morning.

Stuffed an Aussie in the front, now I am drinking beer and celebrating. Can't wait to get on a trail.

Installed custom winch bumper and two KC daylighter (130 watt)

:bawl:the cj7 i've been drooling over for two years is finally in my driveway, and it has a cracked block....
just my luck...
earlier this week i thought i had blown up the motor in my xj, but it actually just overheated and the guage didn't tell me. now i'm on the lookout for a radiator and some other goodies.
anybody know any effective cures for cracked engine blocks? the crack is easily accessible, and i've already helped the leak substantially with bar's leaks block sealer. that stuff is worth its weight in gold...
i'm gonna give that another shot, and maybe try jb weld, i've heard that works sometimes.:gee:

I think I finally fixed my CB the hole for my ball mount was not big enough, my antenna was grounded for the past 2 years. I also did a transmission flush on it the fluid was black but is now nice and clean it seems to be shifting much better. It is currently loaded on the trailer and ready to goto URE.

man, it would have been great to do business with you! maybe another one will come along, this one acted right for the 20 minutes that i drove it just now, after letting it warm up for 15...
i'm hoping that my half-a** patch job will hold. i figured it if was already warm, and i drove it about 23 miles after that it may end up ok, at least for a little while...:skull2:

Drank beer Friday night.
Not much on Saturday.
Parts020.jpg

Even less on Sunday. Just a little bit of painting.

Worked 3 doubles in a row, and headed Sat night to Raleigh to pick up the XJ.
Installed the rear driveshaft and took it for a spin, busting another yoke housing.
Cussed, kicked the Jeep, cussed some more. Called a buddy and pulled it back to the house.
Decided to leave the XJ, get a ride to Boone, and buy an MJ I have been considering. Save for an SYE and fix the XJ then.
Currently drinking Beer and watching the Canes.

Thursday afternoon I put a power steering belt on my roommates Pathfinder since it shredded the one that was on it last weekend. Friday hung out with some friends during the day, cleaned the Jeep up a little bit, went to a school function/dinner at night, then walked in the relay for life event from about 9pm-4am. Woke up around noon on Saturday, took care of some errands, and hung out with a friend who works at one of the Advance Auto's in the area....ended up helping one guy who came in with a Jeep issue he was having and talkin Jeeps for a while. Spent today catching up on grading some papers that i've been needing to do for work and procrastinating on some homework due tomorrow.

Bar hoppin' on saturday night, I dropped the long arms, stripped the 'rails' in order to plate them, looked for weld through primer (found it but the guy had just locked the door so it will be Monday before I get it so I consoled myself with a new holster and belt since Eagle1 was so close by :) ) picked up the odds and ends; weld wire, cut-off disks, flap disks, brake cleaner fluid, under coating, hacked up 2 stock crossmembers to make a skid, prep'ed a piece of 3/16 to put on the bottom of said skid, cut angle iron to box said skid. Ran out of weekend.

went to the aquarium with my 16 month old for the first time, he loved it.

worked.....

built a book shelf for my kids room by order of his mom :D im pretty proud of it... ill post a pic when i get one.
