What do you think?

simple i like it...

just one thing, no winch mount or reciever for future winch?

I'll probably throw a receiver tube on it in the future, I was just anxious to get it done. All of the steel i bough at the scrapyard for around 20 bucks.

True. Why dontcha just come drop one off at my place. PM for address.

:D

I really don't want to fab anything until all this crappy weather is gone, but if you ever need anything just let me know.

How much do you charge? I better start saving up.

I really don't know. I've never really made anything for anyone else. It would probably take me forever, my only method of cutting right now is an angle grinder, my chop saw burnt out and I am too broke for a plasma or band saw. We could work some thing out though. A few weeks back I thought about buying some square tubing and making a few bumpers to sell on craigslist.

Your bumper looks clean. I bet you'd sell a bunch of those bumpers. Sell just one and you'd be on your way to getting a new chop saw. Prob. can get one from CL for pretty cheap.

Thanks. If i did make some they would be real similar to JCR stage 1.

I really like the design of the JCR bumpers. Clean and simple and match the body lines. No $ so it's a real bummer.

Maybe it's about time I get into this whole fabbing scene. Teach a man to fish, right?

Mig welding is so unbelievably easy.

Haha. I suppose the hardest part is the initial buy-in for the welder and a 220V outlet if you don't have a free one already.

Milwaukee makes a metal cutting saw that is unbelievable. Cuts through steel like butter. Looks and handles like a circular saw. I have one and have used it to cut through 3/8's... can't remember if it will do 1/2 but I think so. Cost at Northern Tool was about $240 IIRC.

I made the same parts you bought from Ironscorpion and it wasn't hard to do. Looking at your bumper, I'm sure you could do it: Perhaps you made patterns from their pieces?

Problem with building common fabbed parts is that by the time you buy the material and your labor, the interested party can buy a prefabbed one for almost the same price. Key is finding something that isn't readily available and offering it at a competitive price once you have all the needed production equipment( ANYONE NEEDING TUBE WORK PM ME...)
