Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Broyhill Inn where we stayed. Went to Macadoo's Saturday night to get out for a couple drinks after we got done with our seminar's and stuff. Amazing food at the Broyhill.

Well I got my rear bumper built and finished get my control arm mount welded and all. Wanted to make the flog but the Heep needed too much work and not enough time. One of these days I will have a shop so the night and cold doesnt stop me from working on it.

Not this time, but i've heard several mention the Cowpoke.....definitely next time!

A lot of people were out wheeling at Windrock for the Flog. Otherwise it was probably too cold to work on the Jeeps for most people.

I dun get it? What does a dumb crook have to do wit you?

Well, I was the guy that he asked directions from. Some of you may know, but for those that do not. I am the one that investigated the robbery. So that was what I got done on my week-end. This has been a NAXJA special report ! :wstupid:

“Doughnut Dave” Get it?

Got my TC drop and My Discos in the mail. Installed the discos, rides like shit. I think they need to be tightened, i can feel something loose when i hit a bump. Waiting for it to be a little warmer before i start on the TC drop. And I ordered my RR Steering setup with ORV Stabilizer from CSEoffroad.com. Will be here Monday.

Went to Uwharrie yesterday with intentions of staying the whole weekend....camped in the 15* weather last night (not too bad sleeping in the back of the Jeep). Got up this morning, met some friends at the Outpost and my friend who was already there got anxious and decided to do a "quick" run while he was waiting for the rest of us to return. Long story short, he broke the yoke on his 8.25, the DS came off, and since it's a 88, it lost all of the ATF out of the tail cone.

Limped it back to the camp site, I picked up some ATF from the outpost on my way back, and managed to get it to hold by duct taping a 20 oz soda bottle to it and running it in 4x4 to get the 60 or so miles home. While he was thinking of a way to repair it, I went with my friends who came down this morning and ran a couple of trails, since they had never been to Uwharrie before.

Decided that was enough excitement for one day, and rather than sleep in the cold on another 15* night with one busted Jeep, we decided to head home.

Saw five H3Ts heading North on I-59 this morning. My wife was behind me and called me to tell me they were about to pass us. They had definitely been hitting dirt somewhere and one of them had mud still flying off of it. I wondered if they had been to GrayRock for some testing or something as they all had no plates on them and were all decked out with aftermarket(?) bumpers and winches. I would have tried to see more detail or get a pic with my cell but they were doing 90+ and the MJ tops out at about 50 right now (going down hill, with help from the wind).
I believe there is still a Hummer testing area somewhere in Northern Alabama.

rc drop brackets in the 20* cold night and the next morning did dodge van springs. watched a guy take a stock 89 chevy in some mud that ended up in his shoes.

I worked on my YJ all weekend. After my little flop at mountainside I was encouraged to finish out the rear tube chassis. I decided to dovetail and I am wanting to go to 44" tires and will need the room. My 42" was rubbing the rear quarter panel before. Here is some pictures of what I got done.

Here is a few more. I still have to brace everything down to the tube frame and brace into the shock hoops. Then I will plate the inside to keep some of the mud out. I have a set of dimple dies I plan on making some nice gussets and side panels.
