They had a second vehicle burn at URE over the weekend. First was a military Hummer out there training a few weeks ago. Saturday was a Rover. Let's all make sure we have fire extinguishers while we ride! Also I saw where a young lady died when she didn't have her belt on playing in the mud in her buggy and it flipped at Dirty Turtle. Lets be safe out there friends!

No doubt. The offroad season is off to a rough start, especially in Uwharrie. I'm just glad they finally have cell towers out there. Makes it a LOT easier to call for help in the event something happens.

Well the CJ5 is gone (sniff..had her for 5 years!!)
Now have a '73 Scout II next to the '74 Scout II in the garage.
DAMN I miss my CJ...but cannot wait to start driving this beast.
Needs tires and will have to do a fair bit of work on the ignition system (the guy put the dizzy in 180* wrong) but it runs and drives.
345 V-8 and 727 auto. D-30 open knuckle drums up front and D-44 rear.
Will post more and better pictures (of both) later this week. It was late and raining and ....yeah.
Anyone got some good 31's or 32's they wanna let go of for cheap...or trade for a kidney or 1/3 of a so so liver?
Nice. Someday I'll get a Scout put together. I've got so many parts it's just a matter of assembling everything.

Friday: Bid on a 5 speed 95 xj. Started on the Motor swap....
Saturday: Swapped the motor. Stopped early to photograph LG and his date for Prom.
Sunday: Went to a record sale at the museum in Columbia. Went to Conquest Brewing's Tap room. Got a tour of the brewery. Got home about 10 pm.
Monday: Going to get said 5 speed xj.

I have a leak in my steering system somewhere above the box and my drag link now has a self clearancing bend in it to clear the cylinder bolt it was rubbing on. Red labels are awesome, they work awesome wet, dry, or in some mud. My friends SX2's brought the major suck and I was constantly waiting on everyone else all day both when driving and because their junk broke.
Only picture I have of me.
I also bought a spare 60 for shafts and UB's. Need to sell the housing to someone who wants to build a badass 60 with RCV's or 300M shafts.

Yea and half the front DS. I have a couple cases in the trailer out back. The DS however I do not have. Anyone got a 5 speed front shaft they will part with?

Good luck. That's going to be a tough find. I have one but you can't have it. lol It's going in mine later this week.
If you want, I can compare the difference and you can get an auto shaft retubed.
Also, seems like you could use a shaft from a V8 ZJ. I'd have to check on that.
