Weekend is over...what did you get done?

thats cause they all exploded inside the engine bay killing the owners...

Found out from ed these are the same batteries I was hoping to get some advice as to which way to go or if any one had purchased from either of them and how there customer service is. My gut tells me to go with Oreilly's becuase there a physical store and I can find them just about anywhere.

Any one use the oreilly Agm batteries $150 roughly 34\78extagm, 775 cca, 120 min reserve, 3yr full free replacement, 3yr prorated

Im also looking at the DEKA Intimidator from Remy battery $150 roughly 9A78DT, 740 cca, 120 min reserve, 3yr full free replacement, 3yr prorated (online store)

Both of those were recommended to me in my WIP thread, so I'd feel pretty safe with either and go with the local source.

I'd say Remy battery is showing some old specs. 775CCA and 120 RC is the current rating listed in the spec sheets.

For you, O'Reilly's makes the most since for you because they are local in NC.

going to pick up a popup camper saturday.... it needs some TLC done to it and one of the lift cables repaired. pretty pumped about it! it will fit on the gooseneck with my jeep for some long wheeling trips.

Yep. I have only gone through 2 quarts though. The RMS is leaking pretty good but it's not too horrible.

Other than my stupid radio crapping out on me and new Mexico absolutely destroying my mpgs and robbing my hp's this trip hasn't been bad at all.

I was getting 19 mpgs before I hit NM, and that was cruising at 75-80.

Why does NM rob mpgs? Hills?

I would have had to pull over imediately and fix the radio.

I would ahve smoked 4 packs of cigarettes on a trip that long... lol

I think it's the hills plus the elevation. Candace said the car was struggling too.

I think its an internal short in the radio so not much I can do about that.

And holy crap has it been windy during this drive. Last night when we stopped at the hotel, it must have been 30mph steady winds.

What are you replacing it with?

nothing right now.... going to finish school and get some cash flowing in and get a mid 90's powerstroke truck.... but im throwing in the towel for now, we'll wheel her jeep and cut costs everywhere i can and a truck neither of us needs to drive but i still pay for is a big liability on my budget

There are plenty of other noises to listen to. Lol

I agree. Jeeps make their own music. I was on the interstate once, in my XJ, with the window down and the radio on when I heard a funny noise start that I had never heard before. I listened intently for about 2 minutes to see if I could source that noise, before I realized that it was the tamburine playing in the background of a Brad Paisley song!

Nothing wrong with that! I've been starting to look at ways to consoldate here myself.
