Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Got my stickers from Andy and threw them on the Teal B*tch. Thanks Andy!

Like! Andy, like to print another? It would go well with my shotgun.

what shotgun is that? im looking for a good home defense that she can handle as well..... i dig the AR stock on it

Its a Mossberg 500 with a Kicklite recoil reducing stock on it. The adjustable Length Of Pull (LOP) is awesome, very friendly to anybody. Here is the full shot, stock extended about about as far as I like it, if I'm really trying to get a good aim (busting those clay zombies). VTAC sling and shot shell carrier are some extra goodies along with the stock.

Stump designed the sticker. As long as he's good with it I can print as many as you'd like.

Ya can't be "Unit 1" though... ;)

On a side note - "Thank you Sir, may I have another?"

Does anyone make a shotgun with a mag like an AR? Looks good but I prefer a semi-auto.

You want to look for a Saiga 12, built off the AK platform. I think they run around $6-700 new with a basic synthetic stock. IIRC, it's pretty easy and cheap to convert them to AK furniture where you can do anything from a folding stock to telescoping.

replaced the tensioner pulley and power steering pump. Rig is a lot quieter now, though now i can hear every valve click and exhaust leak. win some, lose some. at least i wont get yelled at for starting the jeep at 6 am anymore.:gee:

where'd ya pick up the pump?

Took a little road trip down to Hartsville to visit Glenn and Lenny to see if we couldn't figure out what's making my locker unhappy with the front shaft hooked up. We're all pretty much in agreement that it's the coupler in my NP242 that's sending just a bit of power to the front wheels, even though things are in 2wd. For the time being until I can come up with a 231, the front shaft will remain out unless I need it in.

Also discovered the pinion bearing is shot on the front end. Not knowing how damaged the gears are, i'm trying to decide what route to go. Just do a bearing and seal overhaul on the whole axle and hope for the best, or spend the bucks and replace the gears as well.

It was good to see you again. Maybe we can get some others to come out next time! I'd leave it be for now... get through winter and keep an eye on the front diff level. Enjoyed the light wheeling at Painted Paradies Farm too. Now to fix the steering and the ps fluid leak.

Likewise! Wasn't a bad drive at all from SW Charlotte. From that gas station we stopped at tonight to my door was exactly 86.0 miles, so from your shop would be more like 80. It takes an hour and a half because it's SC back roads with 60mph speed limits for 90% of the way!

Sweet. You are welcome to come hang out any time. Hell anyone is welcome to come down any time. Maybe this winter I'll do a meet and greet and wheeling cook out! :woohoo:

did you see the gorgeous pink Avon sitting in Lenny's yard?

Got a few things done. Seemed to take all day with very little progress made. I haven't had time to work on the thing for so long...

Got the tail lights half ass installed. Still need electrical tape and load of zip ties to finish it correctly. I also need to make a little plate to go under the LED light for back up light to fit in and fill the rest of the hole.

I got the CB and CB antenna installed. This took the longest since I couldn't make up my mind where I wanted it. I still don't think I like where I put it. I didn't want to put it low for it to smack the side of the Jeep everytime I hung it on something but at the same time I didn't want to put it all the way on top to get snapped off. So I just welded a tab to one of the cross bars on the cage. Hopefully, it won't fall off.

I also managed to cut out the factory rocker on the drivers side so maybe I can finish replacing the rockers. A project that I started 6 months ago. Dull saw blades make it difficult to finish.

I removed the 2" coil spacers in the front. I was tired of it feeling tippy. Maybe this will help. It doesn't seem to sit 2" lower in the front until I climb under the front and check the clearances. It's obviously closer under there. I still need to properly set the bumps in the front and rear.

I really need to replace the leafs in the rear but I can't afford full packs at the moment. It sit's 2" lower on the passenger side. Might make a bastard pack of some sort. If I go back with the same springs I have now it'll sit too high in the back. I have to figure out how to get new springs to sit the right height.

Now, I want to do something different with the front bumper on my Jeep. I want to build something different. Would any of you be interested in buying a winch bumper?

This bumper...

Edit: You can even tell it sit's lower in this picture...

I'll stop babbling now.

Well sat. I put new bushings in my lower control arms "rustys" and was it ever a bitch. It took 2hrs per arm with a hammer and chisel and then found out I left my 5lb sledge on the mnt when I helped fix a boys 4-wheeler so i could only get them so far, had to wait till today to go to a friends house and beat them in with a 10lb'er and a socket that just fit around the rubber which took no time at all. Putting the arms back in by myself was a job in itself having to reverse it to get the springs up and use my hatch pole to hold the brake and pray it didn't slip. But I got them in and adjusted right and drives a whole lot better. Now all I need is adj uppers to roll the frt end up a little.

Changed the oil in the Jeep this morning, and prepped the DD for winter through out the weekend. New battery Friday night, and a good wash, clay, scratch re-movement, and polish today. Next car I buy, will not be black. Looks pretty damn good right now that it's still clean, but by tomorrow night i'm sure it'll be dirty again.
