Weekend is over...what did you get done?

My daughter and I did this. Well she did it, I just spotted her. It was her very first time offroading. Now she wants a jeep. What did I do???? :confused1

It was actually a bit more difficult then it looks. We were going down into where the culvert is at and then up the other side with deep sand.

Picked up the small goodies needed for the trip (d-rings, first aid kit, couple quarts of oil (apparently SC has a stupid oil fee now on quarts of oil!?)). Just got to bring it over to work one day and get it in my warehouse to recharge the AC, top off the fluids, and give it a good once over.

Well... been finishing up all the RSOR projects getting ready for the crawl. I did my signature rocker replacements on Chattacuda's jeep, built a custom rear bumper for melkor, and worked on 2 of Chatt tacoma's jeeps (well his and his little brothers xj) the XJ got a "non-renix" cooling system upgrade ditching the pressurized reservoir. The old radiator was pretty clogged and we couldn't justify trying to repair a system that is marginal at best. Also on his TJ I installed a rough country 4" short arm lift, which needless to say was less than impressive... We "upgraded" to the SYE and rear driveshaft, but after installing the lift, the pinion wasn't even close to being lined up with the driveshaft so it had almost unbearable driveline vibes. To fix this he ordered up a set of adjustable upper control arms from Andy at Iron Man. Also the kit had no track bar and on his jeep there wasn't enough material to re-drill the mount like they tell you to do, so he also got an adjustable track bar from Andy. So, lesson be learned, 9 times out of 10, you are always going to get what you pay for! However, the kit was on sale for $500 so even if we only kept shocks a springs and threw the rest in the trash, he still didn't get a bad deal.

Then after finishing all of that we test fitted the jeeps on our 24 foot gooseneck (they both fit!!!) and serviced everything on the trailer to prepare for the trip. Betty is now 100% ready to go other than a bath! The truck got its new clutch on friday, so it only needs a bath too then its good! I wiill spend the first part of this week finalizing everything for the crawl, but Im really excited to be going and actually taking my own rig!

I knew you were a sharp character, but that shows a high level of intelligence... I'm impressed!:wave1:

So, in addition to the lift, what other skills/abilities/services may we expect to mooch off of you??:worship::cheers:

Yes. You. Do. But I think, now with the lift etc, you may have to bring your junk to him! If I only lived closer to Atlanta...:D

Gonna miss you guys at the Crawl too!.... REALLY wish we could be there. Next year for sure though. Ill be sweating out in the shop all weekend making the Jeep a little more-better. :D

Have I mentioned that I am loving this new lift?

Was actually kind of excited to change the oil in the wifes ride a couple days ago...weird!
