Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Swapped out my bent RE 3.5" leaves with an add a leaf for some new Big Offroad 4" HD leafs with JKS boomerangs..... got 4" of lift....:D
and my back is a little unhappy with me....

Wandered around the Speedway at the Auto Fair yesterday, thankfully went to visit some friends afterwards that kept me from being home when a bad storm rolled through dropping baseball sized hail...many cars in the parking lot are covered in dents. Guess it's going to be an unusually bad spring/summer in terms of storms

Threw a radio in a friend's car today and began dealing with the massive sunburn I got yesterday.

I almost went to that. One of my Uncle's called me at 8 am on Saturday and asked if I wnated ot go with him. Unfortunately I felt I needed to finish the suck down winch so I could move on to other items.

Put a new set of rotors and pads on my XJ this Sat. Thank God for PB blaster and BFH! Although my neighbors just love me now...BANGCLANG! BANGCLANG! stupid rusted @#$%^&*()! rotors...BANGCLANG! BANGCLANG!

I thought I heard something about it being the worlds largest auto fair...but i'm not sure.

Spring is definitely the better one to go to...not as many cars in the fall. Can't beat the admission price either...$5 to park and $10 to get in for Adults ($8 if you pick up a coupon from Food Lion) and if i'm not mistaken the kiddos get in for free if they're young enough.

In the last week:

XJ...new power steering pressure line, new thermostat

ZJ...replaced the burnt out marker light

WJ...oil and filter change, replaced a burnt out brake light, pulled the throttle body and cleaned it and the IAC.

Still having issues with the XJ in terms of wobble and noises from the front axle. Think I'll trailer it to the Crawl so I don't have to run it on the interstate!

Got some more done on the frame/ cross member, and radius arms. Finished prepping the frame for the sleeves

Ground and primered

Plates tacked on

Then i hooked up the new radius arms to the front end and clamped the brackets to the cross member for testing for clearance before final welding.

Looks good!!!

I looked at the near endless lifts and tire combos trying to figure the best route to go with my 92..... I know I want to run 33's and im pretty sold on the BFG M/T 33's but now I've gotta figure out back spacing tire width and do I really need 6 inches of lift to run 33's or can I run 4 inches, cut the fenders and put flares on it? Also being as I'm new to the jeep thing what brands are gonna be best? I had a very busy weekend, I loved getting back into it though. Also this forum is sweet.

Man it must be nice to have a lift to work on...... doing the plug weld a thon on my back on a stock height jeep brings the suck

Thermostat switch? What problem are you having?

The clutch wasn't kicking on. I found out today that Haynes has some crazy wrong wiring diagrams.

I finally found someone to help me. Turns out I didn't have a constant 12v to the relay. I still haven't traced the wire yet tho. Gunna do that in a few minutes.

I'm excited about having AC!

When you get to be my age it is the only way you can still work on this stuff and still move the next day!

Got the crossmember back out and cut out for the radius arm mounts; gotta love a plasma cutter:

Yeah I need to get around to fixing mine...not excited about the job though!

It's really not as complicated as everyone makes it out to be. Ya just have to have to the right tools for the job.

All I had to do to the actual cooling system was put a couple cans of freon in it.

All the rest of the problem was electrical issues.

I tried to make the air work on my trail rig a couple years ago and decided it had a hole in the condensor. So I took the doors off instead. :)
