Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Anybody who has set up gears much has had some that weren't so great. Back when I started doing them about 6 years ago I didn't really know what I was doing (had an idea lol) and my own gears were only marginal... and they both let go back in January. Now when I do them, I make sure they're perfect because nothing is worse than having a set come back to you because it makes noise or because it broke. I have spent literally a solid day trying to get set-ups perfect. It just takes time.

Instead of set-up bearings?

Banging bearings on with a bearing driver does get old really fast.

DOug, how much width did your Waggy add to the front? Mine seams to have added a good bit, as you see in the picture above... I also have different backspacing on the new wheels too. I think I'm going to like the extra width.

nah i need a press to get the pinion bearing on.... and my waggy width didnt add that much, how different are the wheels your using?

I was running a 3.75 back spacing and now I'm running a 3" backspacing so the wheels made a 1.5" difference. It just looks like more than that. I know the back looks A LOT wider. I changed the wheels AND added the wheel adapters (1.25 spacing) So, that's 4" wider in the back...

Bought and installed the River Raider XJ Hi-Lift Mount:

I haven't seen that Hi Lift mount...I like it! and the Mini Clubman....kewl. I haven't gotten in a Countryman yet....they look kewl...and 4 doors....my little ones are fond of their own doors!

We are moving to Italy in a month. My wife will have the Clubman with her in B'ham next week if you want to take a look at it.

that's just a little too convenient! I wish I could help ya out, but not ready for the new car yet....I'm just getting to 100k on my Vibe GT....hoping to hit 200k! Good luck with the sale, and the move to Italy!:D

Trying to replace passenger side ball joints....any suggestions?? AND I think someone WELDED the top ball joint to the axle....looks like 3 spots, maybe an inch long each....:twak:
