Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Replaced my OEM UpCountry/RC AAL with a 4.5" RC Leaf spring pack.

Thanks again GRIMUS99XJ @ Rough Country!
make sure you break those new ones in... i had a set and they were STIFF as a mofo

Did nothing but look at it, waiting to get my block and stuff back from the machine shop, made a set of hub and caliper spacers to install the WJ steering knuckles and brakes on my XJ. I just cannot justify spending $21ea plus shipping to JKS.

well, well, well. what a week it has been.

bought this jeep less than a week ago and immediately went to work on it.

99 xj sport, 4.0, 2WD!!!!!..........

did a 4x4 conversion.....

swapped my 6'' longarm lift.....

cut off LCA mounts...uuuhhgggggggg!

drill four 3/4'' holes through the frame rails to mount the custom crossmember...

8-11 hour days on this thing since tuesday....

still need to mount fuel skid, Tc skid, lebaron hood vents, and rocker skids still need to be made.

Helped my friend continue to move into his house all day Friday, drove to Winston Friday night, up to Stokesdale to meet dad Saturday and headed to Greensboro with him to go to Arena Cross at the Coliseum. Stopped by the fire station to hang out with a couple of friends on the way back from Stokesdale Saturday night, drove back to Charlotte early this afternoon, wrapped up a bit of homework and went to a superbowl cookout at a friends house. All in all a good weekend.

Plans for this week include, finish building a 8.8 to swap into a YJ, weld my hub spacers to my WJ steering knuckles(hopefully a friend of mine comes through with a set of rotors and calipers), port my 00 intake to match my head ports, then off to Florida for a week at the Orlando training center get to play with Hybrid Dodge Durango or Chrysler Aspen for a week then I hope when I get back my stuff is done at the machine shop.

:D

I swapped a Dual Diaphragm Brake Booster from a 96 XJ to my 92 XJ. I have a Dana 44 up front and an 8.8 in the rear, so my brakes really benifited from the booster swap. I can easily lock all four of my 33's up on pavement now.

went wheelin at aetna mtn.

broke a u-joint

bent a front driveshaft

found out something (not sure yet) wrong with my front axle

ordered a new front drive shaft from tom woods DS

next weekend:
hopefully find out whats wrong with my axle and wait on my driveshaft from UPS.

Used an old hub from the donor WJ to hold everything in place during welding and cooling. Drilled out a set of WJ rotors to 5 on 4.5" cannot wait to install everything on my XJ. So far the only thing I need to buy are longer brake lines and the JKS over the axle track bar bracket and I might need another threaded adaptor or 2 for my steering going over the knuckle this time around.

Installed a set of autopal headlights with a HID option, and I think the autopal head lights SUX im so disappointed in the quality of them. The hid kit that i bought is great mounted up easy and performs great. It the autopal headlights!!!:looser:

Ok long few days but:

Steering Stabilizer
Front Shocks
Autopal Lights
New Headlight Wiring Harness
Hitch Install

Just waiting on the catalytic converter and front bumper. But it looks like that might be next weeks project.

Can't wait until dark to try the headlights.

I had quite the opposite experience with mine. Did you make a new harness? It makes all the difference in the world.

Had a party, got plastered, won a game of beer bong, Team shrek won two rounds of Speed boat, (That game was cool thanks Matt), sold the buick and passed out.

Rebuilt the Double Cardan in the front drive shaft of my roommate's TJ on Friday, went and helped clear down some brush and make some trails on some land that a guy in Concord is opening up to 4 wheelin on Saturday, went out last night for a bit, found out this morning that I owe $90 to the state in taxes and i'm getting a killer $3 back from federal :banghead: and found out this afternoon I owe Cingular $500 for my phone bill. :explosion

Right now i'm wondering what else can go bad today.

time to teach your friends smoke signals its way cheaper than the cell phone

More like it's time to call Cingular and tell them where exactly they can stick their bill. My plan is supposed to have everything on it, unlimited texts, internet...all that jazz. This bill is jacked up apparently because of the internet portion (e-mails)....I'm going to try and dispute it tomorrow I hope, if I have time to call them.

Iphone? My first bill was like $900 bucks and I called and was like umm nope. They fixed everything and even comped half the months bill for the mistake.

I didn't go with the harness upgrade i want to say it is the beam of the light my HID kit works great and lights the night to day but the beam is not the best!
