Weekend is over...what did you get done?

Painted the rest of the trim today to match the front end caps. Hard to tell from the pictures, but rather than the normal faded gray...it's slightly darker, and a little more even. The paint is called "Chrysler Blue Green"

That sucker is fuuuuunnnnnnnnn :D

But now I have to go back to class tomorrow :(

Those new Toyotas are the ugliest trucks on the planet!

I thought the same thing for a long time..and even when we bought it. But after having it a couple of months now....its really starting to grow on me.

Peleejosh and Trail rate this came over Saturday afternoon and we got a lot done. Bolted torque convertor to flywheel, installed the starter, dampener pulley, fan/pulley, belt, radiator/core support, and battery. If it hadn’t have been for some bad plug wires we would of had it running. Thanks again guys for your help. Sorry you missed out on the pizza and beer Josh, I owe you one.

Went to the Cotton Festival. Released over 300 balloons to celebrate Caroline's 24th B-day, RIP. Drove to Hotlanta for a DR's apt for the twins.

Went to Corbett for a trail ride on Sunday. All was going well until my idler pulley decided to grenade. I loaded up with friend and we headed to the trailhead to make some phone calls. Finally got ahold of my cousin and he brought me an idler pulley. We all headed back into the trail to fix my jeep, well someone we ended up on a different trail so a couple hours later we arrive at my jeep. Install new pulley and head to the trailhead. One of the trucks ran out of fuel so I used the return line to pump some fuel into a can and got the truck running again.

We get on the main grade headed home and the jeep suddenly stalls. Cranks but no start....diagnosed as no spark. Tinkered with a few things under hood, connections, relays, etc. Jeep started up and ran for 10 seconds then turned off. Same thing, cranks but no start. We hooked up tow straps to tow the jeep home.

Heading out on the main grade we run into my buddy that ran out of fuel, his rear end blew up. We stop to help, I tinkered with the jeep again, started and ran for 10 seconds then die. Both jeep and truck get towed out. When I got the jeep home it started and ran for 5 minutes:dunno:

So now after work Im gonna look into the CPS. I dont know what else it could be. Ill post up some pictures if I got any good ones while out there.

Hosted a conference on Friday and Saturday for one of the student organizations that i'm involved with for engineering, which meant driving people around who came in from other schools b/w here and Maine....not too happy about not getting anything for the 3/4 a tank of gas that I spent in the Jeep doing so. I spent 5 months organizing and planning this event, so it's nice that it's over and done with now....and it seems that everything went fairly well.

Sunday on a spur of the moment decision (more like an early morning wake up call from a friend) rode up to the big dixie bogger's event at the Farm and watched some wheelin for a few hours.

changed a fuel filter in my older jeep and worked like it was cool.

so now i eat, sleep, work, work on jeep, repeat.

its suppost to be like that right? lol

jeepwise what i accomplished

1 got in jeep
2 started jeep
3 drove jeep around block
4 parked jeep facing opposite direction so landlord thinks i drive it and won't tow it
5 turned off jeep

Hacked the jeep up and built a cage, slapped some cromos in the front d44. Still workin on the cage, might cut up the front too.

I spent the Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday installing a CPS, Detours Backbone, and cleaning up the IAC. Cutting up a stock bumper to fit the Backbone was a PITA but is was worth it in the end.

Cut and folded the rear quarters
Built most of my rear bumper... still not finished...
Welded the POS Rusty's trac bar bracket to the frame so it would quit working the bolts loose!

Finished building D44s for the front and rear of my Samurai... Got the front bolted up.
Now All i need to finish is the steering!

Had to drive to Easley to get drive shafts late monday night and managed to blow a tire in the BMW... :(

I figured I had to post a picture of it... I've still got to make small pieces to fill in the hole under the tail light, paint it again and do the same thing to the other side. Maybe I'll taper the corner a little more too... That would look nice!
