Want to wheel high lakes? Outside chico ?

I have to work the weekend of the 28th and don't think I can swing the vacation time. I already took Memorial Day Weekend off for Reno Fest.

OK but as for the 20th of March that is still good for you?

I will get the rig done by then. So lets continue to plan on the 20th since if we don't make that weekend then you and skipper are out and I really want to wheel with both of you guys if possible.

I figured if you all said the 28th was also fine I would just take more time. Since its not, lets continue to plan on the 20th.

Started working on the sliders tonight after work so already ahead of the game.

Lets plan on the 20th. Just knocked out the other slider. Just need to make legs for em and weld em on.

Really wanted the sliders and belly on. Belly is done. Sliders will be done by this friday. The rest of the projects are a bonus as they get done.

So this is still a go for the 20th.

Also really glad you are doing reno. You will probably love it.

anyone have a link to this so i can see if its worth driving el junky? gps location?

3 hour drive in el junky :(

me too.
everywhere I go is at least 3 hours, except fordyce.
it took me like 5 hours to get to the Rubicon once. From Sac.

Ya shoots.. I want to go but I don't think I can finish the cge tcase new drive shaft and paint the cage by then

Your rig ran fordyce as is, you'll be fine as is. Me on the other hand, this will be the MJ's maiden voyage . After wheeling the silver back this will take some getting used to -not being so built- so I am scrambling for armor mostly right now.

How about this:
Do what you can on the cage until then. Focus on getting as much done on the cage as possible. You can always paint it later
Leave the T case and Driveshaft issues for the 2 weekends after?

I am just going to postpone a bunch of projects on the MJ and on the Silverback until the weekend after and get the bare minimum done.

Well the only thing is my tcase needs a rebuild pretty bad. Play in both yokes and the chain is pretty stretched. The tcase will only take me a day. I have just about everything ready for that. Except the Speedo issue. And you're right I can just get as much as I can done on the cage. I'll see how much progress I make after this weekend

Wow if your case is that bad then swap cases first, then just mess with the case as much as you can - at that point, if you feel comfortable to go that cool, and if not, oh well I guess , but I will miss ya out there buddy.

From reading some of the trails are easy, and some are tough. It seems the most common to record is the Morris lake trail. I wonder if that is the most difficult trail in the area?

Trying to find information on which are hardest to easiest since I will be getting in late friday night will probably just want to setup camp and crash at point and wake up early to wheel Saturday.

guess the owner at my shop has ran all those trails on a dirt bike and says its a sweet area... but then he went into telling me that same weekend i need to work for him..... so im out at this point...

I hurt my back and will not be doing my ball joints this weekend so it looks like I will not be making it at this point.
