wanna be!!

I think every one has certin things that they consider poser. I only run 35s and have had a few people tell me that any real trail rig has to have 38s or 40s, so I am a poser. Just a thought.

The only difference tire size makes is where you get to pose or break.

What's up with the Cav dude hat in the same post as a wanna be complaint?

Got crossed sabers on your uniform?

Woody

i know a kid at my school who is a poser when it comes to offroading. asked him if hes gonna get lockers and he said you arent really four wheelin if you cant lock your hubs and i said no lockers like in the diffs and he was clueless. he also thinks 31" tires makes you super cool and a real offroader.

now i only have 31s on my jeep and i only put my spare(full size) on my roof when i wheel but at least i know what a locker is and how to wheel my junk.

for some reason i cant use smilies so just imagine a few angry looking ones

I bet there was a time when you first got interested in fourwheeling when if someone would have asked you what a locker was you would have looked at him with that doe in headlights look....We all have. I guess I am more forgiving to the guy who has 31s or whatever on his rig and doesn't know what he is talking about...We all have to learn sometime. Remember we all started from nothing at one point in our lives.

how many of you are sick of seeing bonestock xj's with little tiny 215/75/15 spare tires straped to the roof( like they have EVER been wheelin before)?
i have mine mounted to my surco rack only when i go wheelin, can't afford a rear tire carrier, then i take it down, but when it's up there i feel like all the other boneheads that put it there to look cool.
sorry i just wanted to vent!! i've seen like 5 of them this week!!
them geeks should just stick to the rav-4's and santa-fe's....JACK@SSES!
I'd suggest you pull out your photo album, and look at the pictures in the front of the book, then try to remember that we all started somewhere.

I've seen some people off-road with small street tires that would probably put you to shame. It's not necessarily what's being driven but rather who is doing the driving.
And they look a he77 of a lot better in a skirt!

ANY real offroader wont take a small street tire offroad.
I got my start in 4 wheeling in a rig with 225/75R15 Big-O all-season tires. I took it in mud, rocks, and sand. It loved sand and rocks. People with bigger rigs than mine would say he'll never make it becasue they were afraid of trying then watch in amazement as I made it (up a climb that I'd hit done many times). That was a 94 Geo Tracker. Now I have a 96 Cherokee and I'm running 235/75R15 Michelin LTX's. They're M+S rated (movin up in the world...:D). Any real 4 wheeler would wheel what he's got because you can't be a four wheeler without goin out and doin it. I can't afford anything bigger. I have 30's waiting til I can afford a BB to fit em...

Welcome to the new and improved NAXJA.

Give us time, we're working on it!

I keep my spare tire on the roof rack. 33x12.50, It's hard to keep taking it on and off with 7 inches of lift and a heavy tire. Plus I'm lazy. Am I concidered a poser? hmmm. If so I'm a poser with lockers, and a fun rig, I can deal with that.
