Megawatt said:I think your rig would be great in the summer, and you could probably struggle through it now. Conditions were good up there last weekend, but its likely to get sloppier with the rain we are getting. With AT tires and open diffs, you're going to have to hit a few sections hard to get through them because you won't have much traction, and that's where the dents happen. We can try our best to spot you through them an give you an occasional tug if you need it, but I wouldn't guarantee getting through the day without some body damage. If that's OK with you, bring your recovery gear, and we'll see you there.
I also want to add this as a reminder to everybody who is coming. It looks like we might get a good turn out for this run, and big groups can be frustrating if one or more people are under equipped for the trail/conditions.
Here's the basics:
* Equipment List
1.Visibly charged fire extinguisher (BC or ABC)
2.First aid kit
3.Adequate spare tire, jack and lug wrench
4.Safety belts for driver and any current passenger
5.Adequate attachment points in the front and rear of the vehicle:
-Acceptable forms of attachment points: (All Items must be mounted in a manner to provide adequate strength and integrity)
-Tow hooks of OEM or greater integrity
-D-Rings
-Shackle/Clevis
6.20ft 10,000lb snatch strap without any metal hooks
7.Secured battery (no bungee cords)
8. Cooler full of beer for when Matt bums them
