waggy disco 44

A friend of mine just got an 84 waggy for the engine and told me I could have the front 44 for free. I know it's a disconnect but I was wondering if their is any way to change it to non disco. I will have to re-gear and put in a detroit locker and probably alloy shafts so I don't mind changing any of that. I know this isn't the best donor but free is hard to pass up. thanks

I have no firsthand knowledge. However, I had previously researched the same question and what I was able to find was that this axle can not be retrofitted to a non-disco axle.
