VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) pulse rate?

What is the VSS ppr (pulses per revolution) for a '94 XJ? I recently swapped an aftermarket transfer case in my Jeep that utilizes a newer VSS (one for a 2003-2006 Jeep Wrangler). The new vss has a ppr of 3 and I wanted to know if it would be compatible with my speedometer, or if I am going to need a signal converter.

My 1995 FSM shows the same spec for the VSS sensor of 122.2 Hz at 55mph for both the YJ and XJ. This works out to 3 pulses per driveshaft revolution.

Awesome! That'll work out great. I'll just have to splice the two together since the two connectors are slightly different.
