Volunteers Needed

In two ways.

First, we need people who can help organize and operate NACFest. We probably don't need a lot of help before the event (Mike and Chris would know more about that), but we can use people to help out at the event in many ways.

* Registration
* Safety Inspection
* Trail leaders and tail gunners for all runs
* Chef(s) for the BBQ on Saturday
* ??? (Chris/Mike, what else am I missing here?)

Second, the national Board of Directors has decided to try setting up a committee to work with Heather ("Kudzu") on getting and retaining sponsors for . The idea is for each chapter to have one person to seek out potential sponsors (equipment manufacturers, vendors, etc.) in the chapter area, then coordinate with Heather to get them signed on as national (or regional, I guess) sponsors. This would be a long-term continuing function.

I can handle registrations. Gimme a week and I'll have an online registration page. How are we planning on handling persons pre-paying, etc? Are we not taking pre-payment this year?

Thank you, folks. And if anyone else feels an unbridled urge to help out, I'm sure we can find jobs for all volunteers.

I don't think a pig roast is what we have in mind. Remember, we'll all be off at Paragon wheeling during the day. When we get back to the campground, we want to be able to fire up a couple of grills and start producing charred hamburgers and rubber chickens as quickly as possible. However, if someone (or someones) want to organize a pig roast as a chapter event on another weekend, I think that would be a great idea.

I think I've found a source to borrow one of those self-erecting canopy thingies, which we can use at Paragon so we can do a real registration table like civilized human beings, even if it rains. That alone will be an improvement over last year.

Okey dokey then. I'll man the table if needed. Eagle could you get me an electronic copy of the event waivers, paragon waivers and once we get an idea of costs a listing so I can make up the sheets for registration? (That is if you want me to handle it).
