Wow. Been over a month already since sf. Geez. Work has been killing my life.

Anyways.

Doing some minor maintenance overall.
- headliner recover
- new led dome lights
- new power steering pump and res
(Looking at adding a cooler as it boiled over
at some point on slickrock)
- fixing front shock mounts
(Both bent inward at some point at sf)
- adding some new switches inside
- replacing rear axle shafts
(Bought it from jon and the passenger
flange ended up being bent. He didnt know
and totally took care of me. Got a set to
replace both as they are 35spline and
wanted a warranty for future)

Also ordered a steering box brace. Just a cheap clamp style one as im buying time till boostwerks releases his hidden winch/sector shaft brace. As i have a winch in the garage waiting for it. Ill also shortly be ordering a new tnt trackbar setup. My current re1600 is flexing a bit and im sick of burning through heims every run. Also looking to get new wheels soon. Something a little narrower and with a hair less backspacing to clear the steering a bit better. Right now i have 17x9 with 4.75"bs im looking for 17x8 with 4"bs.

Just need some time and money. Ill be doing a garage sale with some free stuff in the for sale section soon.

So after four years it is finally happening. We are in escrow for a house in reno. Should be closing before Christmas if all goes well. We should be moving in jan after a some small fixits. Someone come take all my yard-sale stuff so i don’t have to moving it all again.

Wiped this baby together this afternoon.

I modified a garden cart i got for free. And used steel i had laying around. The shelf and top are 1/4” so its plenty sturdy for building on.

In an effort to prepare for our move i need to simplify my garage setup and reduce my junk in the garage so i made a single cart for a work surface plasma and welding and all my fab tools.

Haha. No not yet. Im about half way to my funding goal to purchase my atlas. I did however get the preorder purchase of the boostwerks hidden winch/sector shaft brace mount and it should be arriving shortly. I also have a 8500 superwinch ready to go as well as some incab winch controls from prime4x4. So thats happening soon. Hopefully before we move. I have emptied so much out of the garage that i almost can pull the jeep in so there wont be any weather related delays. Ill have some pics for you all tonight.

Ok pic time

I have a lot of little upgrades and cleanups going on with the jeep. Typical off season repairs and rebuilds. Today I decided to replace the front header panel, mount my new fenders, mount my new “fog” lights, add my new switch panel and some switches.
This is the fruits of that labor

Finally all one color again. Im going to make a wall ornament with the old grill assembly.


Also i never posted pics of my headliner replacement. My wife helped a ton with the new wiring above the liner. I also put sound deadening above the liner. I decided to move the speaker bar forward. It made a huge difference in the sound. I also added three new rv led dome lights. They are stinkin bright.

Heres the future in cab winch controls from prime4x4. Super clean stuff. Picked this up with the gift cert from the sierrafest raffle

Also got in some new ubolts from ruffstuff and some new combo bumpstop/ubolt plates from dirtbound. Those will probably be going in tomorrow when i add the add a leaf and rebuild the iro leaf packs. I am just way too abusive on leafs.

New winch, winch mount/pitman arm brace to come soon. Also im a few short weeks away from ordering a 4speed atlass 5.44. Then ill be redoing my crossmember to support that. Ill likely be building the new crossmember for some long arms.

Some of you know my regular commute through the bay area and how crappy that is. I thought id share a pic of my new commute after we move.

Im counting the minutes.
