Man......looks like you could pretty much drive that van away. What a stout and well thought out design. :loveu:

The peoplpe sleeping in back probably didn't notice a thing.

Just for you Chris....

I like the second one, but I'd go after the first one because I'm lazy and don't want to work for it.

Hey River........

There's a team with a souped-up 60's bus competing in the show "Bull Run". You might find it interesting...... :dunno:

Tune into the Speed Channel, should be Thursdays at 10pm.

Goldberg is a puss and page 3 is nowhere for the Vanagon love thread to be. Check out this fine specimen.

Meh....... It's no Westy........and it looks like it's piddled a little bit.

:D

Not sure where the puddle came from but it wasn't from the van. It's gonna need a bit of TLC but it's gonna be fun to take road trips in and go camping. It's HUGE! On the way home from Denver, I pulled over and took a nap.

Perhaps the best feature will be sitting down in a comfortable chair to get in my waders. I can take my time and grab a cold beer from the cooler under the seat. I can flip the table up, get my vice out and tie some flies in luxury. I can drink another beer. I can go out and fish for a while and then come back in and have a sandwich and wash it down with a beer. If I get too tired (or drunk), I can just attach the curtains and take a snoozer.

I left a 67 for dead in Baja mexico on the road to puertocitio in 1970 while on a fishing trip there is some hills that were so steep that you have to unload and carry your crap up i did that on hill #1 and decided to just get a run at hill #2 bad idea it stayed on the side of the road for several years ' also the bank was a tad upset when i told them were to go to reposes it wish they would have made cherokees then Jim

If you do decide to drink in it leave your keys on a tire outside the vehicle... I was talking to this one guy he said he got a DUI for pushing the car cause he got a flat, and had the keys in the ignition!!! He was saying he goes to the bar in his motor home and leaves the key on the tire. He said if you have the keys in the car while your drunk in it then you can also get a DUI or something i don't remeber what he said... Just a little word of advice!!!

Finally got around to doing some work on my new van. It got a tune up that really made a difference. Plug gap is supposed to be .028" and the ones in it were anywhere from .043" to .049". It runs a little fat especially in the mornings so I still need to test the temp sensor and see if it's ok. I wanna keep you Vanagon lovers in the loop so here it is as of now:

I came out of the Cit Market today and found a shopping cart touching the sliding door on the van tonight. The dent's gotta be 8" X 2" with some nice scrathces. There's been some issues at work the last few months that can't be discussed but I'm hoping that someone would not resort to this. This is more of a dent than would have happened from simply rolling through a lot. Someone shoved this cart hard. Disappointing. Wish I could elaborate more.

Here's another decent specimen with straight panels.

Thanks but if I knew who did it I would have handled it already.

Heather said..."Good thing it's 20 years old." Completely NOT the point. If I try and fix it then I'm gonna have primer spots on it. Not sure what's worse.
