Valley Meet and Greet

Lets have a Valley Meet and Greet again. Feb 21, 28 or March 7th. Lets do something maybe in Madera this time?

Do we have any member north of fresno that may want to find a place? I dont know if we have any in Merced area. Do we?

Otherwise, its Fresno or Madera.

Those dates are on Wednesdays which I have off. So, any one of those would be good for me.

I'm starting work on my Jeep so I'm sure I'll have lots of good questions for you seasoned xj owners by then. :laugh3:

why not take scrappy option and start your own meet and greet in the sacramento area

Maybe Phil will host a Sac area meet and greet. SeanP hosted one in the Rocklin area last year too.

Madera kind of sucks for meeting places (unless someone wants to host at their home). After asking around, here are a few possible places that allow minors (I haven't been to any of these):

The Pub. Food/full bar. Supposedly under 21 OK until 10PM.
Me-and-Ed's. Beer/wine.
Round Table Pizza. Beer/wine.
There are a couple of burger/pizza places in the Ranchos, at least one is reported to have a full bar.

There are a couple of other places that are probably a bit spendy for a meet/greet and/or not tolerant of rowdness or minors.

HMMM, edit doesn't seem to work for me.

There is also Sals Mexican restaurant if there is less than maybe 15 people. Beer/wine/limited mixed drinks(?). Probably need a reservation for a large group.

I'm in, either date works well for me. I vote Fresno, Madera scares me.

I just got back from dinner at Bobby Salazars (it was a good margarita Friday), at Champlaine and Paron in Fresno, nice place, very roomy. Bobby Salazars is just a thought, as it seems that Fresno is the place (never thought I would say that) to be. The 28th works well for me, but the 7th will be just as good.

I vote Plaza Ventana on Shaw. Not too far off the freeway, full bar, & I love their seafood Chimmy!!!

There you have it folks. I will be calling them tomorrow to see what they can do about fitting in a potentially rowdy group on the 21st of February. I just need a basic head count.
